My name is Arlette, My journey working with seniors started when I cared for my grandmother when she needed the help about 10 years ago. After that I noticed I enjoyed caring for the elderly and spending time with them. I love listening to their stories and learning from their experiences. I see them and treat them as my family. I like to help them get the best quality of life under their circumstances. I feel a sense of accomplishment every time it's time for me to leave their house and they have a smile on their faces. That lets me know they are happy and feel safe under my care. I have worked with people suffering from different illness like: Alzheimer's and dementia, cancer, hospice, C Diff. I like to have a good and close relationship with my client's families and work together with them. I can provide letters of recommendation if they are needed.

became a caregiver because i worked at hospitals and so many of the elderly patients when going home had no one to care for them at home. so i decided and go out in that field of in home care and have been doing it for the last 22 yrs. what i like about being a caregiver is the fact that you work one on one and get to know the clients needs very well and i am not in a time clock or just a number as to working in facilities. Personal achievement is that i get so involved with the family n the elderly that after a while they are like family to me and i like going extra miles in helping out and not just for the amount of pay. i live in Sun City, CA. and have been very proud of myself in helping out the elderly because at the end of the day its always very rewarding.

I am a health care aid with 12 year experience as a caregiver. I have worked with dementia patients as well as patients with other mental and physical disabilities. Very caring and compassionate with others. I am understanding of patient's needs and willing to do whatever it takes to make them as comfortable as possible. My compassion got me wanting to first become a caregiver. i truly care for people especially those in need, if i can make them smile my heart sings. I became a CNA/HHA at age 17.I have always wanted to work in the medical field to help others.I have worked in several facilities as a caregiver working my way to become a med.tech,supervisor and cottage manager.I have worked for a number of families as well.Most recently, i cared for my mother for a period of 5 years+, untill her death at age 95 on 11/11/15.
