I am a people person . I love talking and caring for the elderly . I've always have treated my patients and clients as I would like to be cared for when I'm elderly . I personally took care of my mom and dad whom have passed . My mom had dementia and later a severe stroke . I cared for her for 7 years , she passed in Jan 2017 . My dad had cancer, saw him through treatments for 8 years . He was diagnosed with stage 4 onset of his diagnosis. I later moved in with them , then my dad was out in hospices ,he only lived for 2 weeks more , he passed in 2008 . I stayed living with my mom for 8 months after my dad passed , then later I brought her to live with me after her stroke in 2010. I now live Chandler, Arizona since Dec 2017 , to be here to see my younger grandchildren grow up. It was a true blessing to be able to care for both of my parents. And now to be with my grandchildren .. God has truly blessed me . As I said, I love caring for the elderly , it's something that gives me my purpose in life ,

What would make me be a great caregiver is that i have a sense of empathy, caring either for a small child to and elderly person. I understand and connect most of the time with Patients that they can create a sense of calmness and trust with in me. I also have lots of Patients for those in need of my help i listen to what ever they have to tell me so they can feel some affection towards a caregiver. What attracts me to being a caregiver is that i myself have grandparents living with me i know as getting to a certain age you need help and cant do many things for yourself, There for this is when i realized this would be a perfect job for, since i love to help others in need or may need any type of resources from me. What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is that you get to listen to other people, have a conversation with them and help them feel better. A personal achievement that i am proud of is that i have grown in this career path not only as for who i am but also my capability of managing a professional Medical Assistant in me and helping those in need of my help.
