I'm a dedicated, loyal, dependable mature adult and I love working with older adults and interacting with older adults. I have worked with older adults in three different veteran's clinics, including one now, and also in several assisted living and nursing homes. I have worked, volunteered, and practiced as a personal care provider, activities assistant, and patient services assistant. What has really made me proud in the past, is when a resident asks for me by name to be their sole caregiver because he/she was really pleased with the consistently outstanding service I delivered. I work full-time Monday through Friday, but I'm available on Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons.

I love to sit and listen to the stories and learn about our history. Our generation is missing so much by not engaging with our elders. I am a people person with a big heart.. I love everyone! Although I am not a beginner in Spanish speaking, I can understand more than I can say but can put words together to get a conversation going.

I have been doing I home caregiving for 15 years and I still love my job. I am happy go lucky and get along with everyone "even the grumpy" :). I put pride in everything I do. I treat the elderly with love and compassion. (Is there any other way:) i enjoy providing comfort to thoes who need it the most from somthing as simple as a run to the store to a tuck in . I am proud of how far I have come in the caregiving world with knowing and understanding as well as learning.

I have worked in healthcare since 2018. I have worked as a chiropractic assistant and ophthalmic technician. I was a certified EMT in NC before moving to Montrose. I am CPR/First Aid certified and in the process of becoming a nurse aide. I am very passionate about caring for the elderly and/or children with special needs. I have previously volunteered at an MDA Summer camp for children with muscular dystrophy. During that time, I gave 1-on1 personal care and assisted with all activities. I learned that I really enjoy caregiving and am happy to offer my services here in the Montrose, CO area!

I've been in the care field for almost over a year now, I am certified to pass Medication in the state of Colorado, and I am trained for transfers with gate belts. I've worked in dementia and Alzheimer's units as the lead QMAP, mostly at nights. I'm beyond willing to work in home with the patient and stay over night on weekends. I know I'm a little younger but i am well beyond my years. Im very energetic and a happy go lucky girl. I love music and sharing that with my residents. I can cook and clean very well and I'm great under pressure. I love what I do and feel that I am great at what I do.

I have always enjoyed helping people in my community. It gives me great satisfaction and happiness to know that I am able to help someone who is in need. I believe every individual deserves to live life to its fullest, therefore I want to help others when they are unable to care for themselves so they may continue to have the best quality of life as possible. My greatest personal achievement in my opinion was giving birth to my four amazing children and I am really enjoying watching them all grow into beautiful, caring and intelligent young adults. Another proud achievement is graduating Vocational Nursing School and earning my degree in middle age. Nursing school has trained me very well to assess any situation I walk into as well as remain calm and professional under stress. I pay great attention to detail and will give all of my patients and their families 110% of myself. I will always treat your loved one with the utmost professional care and respect, and will always be honest with you. My grandfather died of ALS, and it broke my heart to watch him go from running his company and church to basically in the end, being completely incapacitated, but although he couldn't move a muscle to speak or care for himself, his mind was completely cognizant of all that was happening. It was heartbreaking to witness. That was when I decided I wanted to be a nurse. I first worked as a part time caregiver in College Station, TX while attending Texas A&M. I worked with a family of 5 daughters, tutoring, babysitting, and light housekeeping. I also worked through an agency as a home healthcare giver for seniors. I provided care for a senior with a spinal cord injury for 8 years and a family of three girls for 6 years. I currently work as a youth advocate and mentor in Colorado.
