Single mom of a teenager Started caregiving 6 years ago The people I have met has made me a stronger person and I love what I do, love the variety of people I have met , but in this job you have to be very patient and know how to deal with a lot of challenges and behaviors, are jobs aren't easy and you have to deal with stressful situations and know how to deal with them , every year we have to take are annual Training and refresher courses, my main specialty is Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, but that's why I love my job to help people and sometimes they need to someone to talk too, or just a shoulder to cry on, being a single parent makes me stronger in doing my job and know I have someone to live for and help older clients in there daily lives and endeavors.

I'm energetic and a caring person. I'm always on time.

This is what I have a passion for I've been doing this job for the past 20 years, I am a certified nursing assistant. I love taking care of elderly people children and I the experience how to care for hospice patienta, and Alzheimer, Dementia patient Bathing and shower, prepare a meals and Medications Reminder, Transportations, Companionship, feeding and Shopping grocery, Housekeeping house organization,I'm a very responsible person ,friendly, lovely caring person and Trust worthy, and I'm on time ability to do all my job.

I became A caregiver because I care, I've always like helping people, when my father passed, I moved in with my mother, and there I realized how much I was needed there, then thought to myself how there probably other families out there that aren't that lucky enough that there able to take care of there loved ones, so that's where I decided to help, it's my calling in life to care for people, I'm good at what I do, and love what I do, this is what I'm suppose to be doing , I have exspereince iim certified caregiver took classes, I'm very trustworthy and compassionate.

After years of caregiving in the home including taking care of my mom who had gone through all the stages of Alzheimer's I learned about compassion, patience, love, and understanding.The greatest thing you can do in life is to care for someone. I enjoy doing crafts, being with people and traveling. I also do walks for charities. I am looking for part time work durning the day.

I knew at an early age that I wanted to help and care for people. I spent much of my youth volunteering on weekends at the hospital and nursing homes with my siblings we would do activities with the patients or have beauty day with the ladies were we would give Mani/pedis, do make up or cute hair styles. The more time I spent volunteering the more joy I found in helping others, I wanted to follow in my mothers foot steps and become a RN I love how proud my dad and family are of her and the pride she had caring for people she always say's the best feeling is to give back to those that can't do for themselves. I've been a caregiver since 2008 and its honestly the best career I could ask for the joy and happiness I receive from taking care of others is truly a blessing I feel grateful everyday to wakeup and go to a job I love

Handled and emptied bags, urinals, and bedpans collected urine and stool specimens as directed served meals and assisted patients that required help with feeding. Assisted in moving and lifting patients with limited mobility, and assisted with ambulation assisted residents with activities of daily living made beds, and changed linens. Monitored and recorded vital signs, height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration. Followed procedures for disease and infection control. Performed head to toe assessment and recorded findings.
