I do caregiving because to me its more of a calling than a job. As a Christian its an obligation to take care of our parents,I'm compassionate, and loving.I'm very patient and a good listener which i believe is a very important skill in this field.I'm a good house keeper too i like to live in a neat and safe environment which i practice with my residents too.i did interior design as a course,i use that skill alot in my residents homes i like declattering arranging and organizing a given area. As a caregiver i took care of my mom who was suffering from breast cancer for a long time "thank God she is a survivor" and that experience thought me alot about caregiving i developed more skills,I'm very flexible interms of time and environment and new ideas.

Mom's Best Friend, located in Carrollton, TX scheduled orientation and online courses that I have completed related to the skill-sets needed to professionally and responsibly care for your loved one. I consider myself empathetic, dedicated, very dependable, family-oriented, and honest. I am available for Caregiving positions from the Sherman/Denison area all the way to the Dallas Metroplex.
Care giving can be a difficult but rewarding career. Seeing a patient being able to do something they couldn't previously do, is something unexplainable. When i went into healthcare, I was inexperienced other than just being a mother. I grew close to my patients and cared for them just like I would my own family. I have made personal bonds with patients and their families so strong that they came to me with issues/concerns to be resolved vs higher ranking employees. I put everything i have into helping others, to the best of my abilities. I am kind, patient, attentive, caring and a hard, dependable employee, dedicated to patient care and well being.
1. I originally became a caregiver caring for my father who was diagnosed with cancer. 2. I liked the fact that I was needed and appreciated. 3. Personal achievement I am proud of is that I was able to be the main caregiver to a total of four family members in the last 15 years. 4. I now live alone after my husband died in Jan of 2011. I find I need to care for someone, to make a difference in someone's life.
Being a caregiver is my passion and something i have desired to do in my life.Since a very young age I have always been interested in spending time people especially the elderly, and i have come to realize that its my calling my calling. I love to help and make people smile. Making a difference in another persons life and caring for them makes me to feel more accomplished in life. This is also the field am advancing in to become a professional and be better every day.
I am a register nurse and I retired in May 2014 when I moved from Reno, Nv. to Mckinney, Tx. After a year of retirement I missed nursing and the one on one contact with patients but did not wish to return to the shift work, overtime, week-ends etc, so I tried caregiving and loved it. I graduated from nursing school in 1966 and work steadily until 2014. I have worked in the areas of neurosurgical intensive care, renal dialysis, home health, psychiatry, alcohol and drug abuse. My last place of employment was the Washoe Co Jail in Reno, Nv where i worked for over 11 years as a psychiatric nurse. I am independent and self starting with a great work ethic. I approach each client as a unique individual with unique needs and desires and I encourage them to let me know what those are. I am patient and nonjudgemental. I like building a relationship of trust and rapport with my clients. I like the satisfaction of helping them to enjoy the highest level of health and wellbeing as possible. When I worked for United Health Care I was chosen as employee of the quarter.
I love helping those who cannot help themselves. It has always been my passion to take care of people in need. I am currently studying nursing, so i became a caregiver to achieve my goal soon of taking care and showing love to people who are struggling with life challenges. It gives me joy to help.
