I love that I can put smiles on the faces of my clients by helping and assisting them in their ADL's, and Companionship. I am patient, compassionate, reliable, and dependable. I took great care of my father when he was riddled with cancer up until he passed on, so after that wonderful experience I decided to go into the Caregiving profession. I have a passion for what I do because I believe its my mission to care for others. I have been certified since 1990 and I still enjoy working with elderly clients. While I was there , I provided direct & indirect care and companionship everyday for two years. I love caregiving because it is my true passion. I am most happy when I am able to provide care for those who are no longer able to do for themselves. I feel as sense of fulfillment when I can bring some small sort of joy and comfort to others.

Understanding of medical terminology, sanitation practices adopted at health care, first aid and CPR and professional ethics. Medication Aide Certified and can easily manage the medications process.
Compassionate and ready to help others in need makes me a great caregiver. I became a caregiver because of my willingness to help others who are in need especially the elderly and sick. The Joy of seeing others smile again and being there for them, giving them attention are few of what i like about being a caregiver.
hi my name is NYREE THOMAS, I am forty-three yrs old, I first beginned to work as a caregiver straight out of high school, my first client was my very own grandfather. I saw so much pain in his face everyday because he did not want me to have to go through the heartache of caring for him knowing that one day he would not be here much longer, but I did it anyways. after he passed I knew from that moment I knew caring for seniors was what I wanted to do. caring for senior citizens bring me so much joy to see how much they are so grateful that we as cargivers care enough to take the time out to care for others as well as their own. I have been doing this kind of work for twenty-three yrs and as I stated before I love it. I have two beautiful and loving sons whom are my whole world, they are adults now but they will always be my babies I still care for them like I do everyone else. I am proud of all of my achievements starting with the love and compassionate heart I have. when I wake up each morning knowing that I am about to go and put a smile on another clients face and let them know that their lives are just beginning each and everyday, knowing that they feel a whole lot better than they did before I arrived at their door.
Ive been described by employers are a compassionate, hard working, caring and trustworthy individual with a passion for working with the elderly and disabled. With over 18 years experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, working in major hospitals in varying specialties, I've now focused my skills and expertise on one on one care.
My major objective for becoming a caregiver is to make a difference in people's lives. People need a doctor to diagnose and treat their diseases and ailments, they need a nurse to administer medication and treatment when they are sick. However, at all times they need a caregiver to listen to them, attend to their everyday needs and treat them with compassion. That is where I come in. What I like about being a caregiver is that it affords me the opportunity to use what I have, the skill, knowledge, experience coupled with love, honesty and integrity to help people in need. One personal achievement I am proud of is the completion of the NRCPT Phlebotomy Technician's certificate and yet, rather than sit down to do venipuncture, I chose to do what I like most--care for people. I have worked in various aspects of the healthcare system. Overseas, I worked as pharmacy technician, medical assistant and nursing assistant for eight years. Here in the United States I have taken care of different kinds of patients especially the geriatric population and those with Alzheimer's disease as a professional certified by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. I am very reliable, dependable and both a team player and team leader. I do my job with integrity and honesty. Moreover, I take the job personal in that I view the patient as if he/she was my father/grandfather, mother/grandmother, uncle/aunty.
