I became a care giver, because I was asked to help take care of my god father for a few months. I ended up staying in the field because I got another client by word of mouth and I absolutely love it. I enjoy what I do because I feel that I am making a difference in the lives of my clients not just because of their physical inability but the biggest part of my job is their mental well being. Hello my name is joy I have been in the medical field since I was in my early teens as a candy striper from there I went on to be a CNA when I was old enough and during that time of being a CNA for many years I also did In-Home Care and then at that point I started thinking about going back to school I went back to school got my medical assistant diploma I am CPR basic life support certified have been for many many years. In-Home Care came very personal to me when I lost my mother back in 2010 I was her so care provider and then losing my dad in 2013 I was his sole care provider doing everything for both of my parents. I worked for a Home Heath Agency for several years but did not like the way it was ran, due to its lack of professionalism, decided to try a different route. What drives me is I want to make sure that other families parents sisters brothers children are taken care of as I would have wanted somebody to do with my parents if I were unable to do s.
