I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. For myself, to be recognized for my work performance, that's giving to each individual that has been cared for, show appreciation. I'm a wife and mother of 4 ,who also has a parents and grandparents, whom taught me to always treat elders with respect as if it was my own parent or grand parent. It brings me great joy knowing that the patients I take care of and work for can have a better quality of life by getting to know them and help them with whatever they need. Also recieved a certificate Addressing agitation and Aggression in Dementia. It would be one of my most accomplishments due to my mother had dementia and alzheimers. I cared for my mother, that is one of the worst conditions to have. So to understand and be able too work with others. I pride myself on too being patient and understanding.
