I am a Navy Veteran. I received the Purple Heart for my efforts in Afghanistan. I've also received multiple Navy medals and achievements while serving in Iraq, Kuwait and here in the states. I have learned to be patient, compassionate, thorough, very dependable, trustworthy, honest and attentive. I am a wife and a mother of two beautiful daughters. Zoey is twelve and Makenna is ten. My husband is still in the Navy. He is a Submarine IDC (Independent Duty Corpsman) and he makes me proud everyday. I love my family and me working as a caregiver makes them proud as much as it makes me proud. I love being able to say I help people for a living.

I have 20 years of experience working in the medical field as a Physician Assistant. I have additional studies in nutrition and yoga and have a personal interest in lifestyle medicine. I have a BS in Medicine, and am certified as a PA. I also have certificates in BLS (CPR), ACLS, PALS and plant based nutrition.

For the past 6 years, I have followed a job track that prioritizes quality time and building relationships. This became a strong focus after a conversion I had in college, finding the purpose of my life in Jesus. Throughout my working life, my natural gifts of reflective listening, encouragement, self motivation, and inspiring others to work toward goals have been tuned and developed. I've learned also how to be self-reflecive, honest and clear in communication, and an efficient multitasker. Being asked to lead a missionary team for a year, and then doing it, is a personal achievement I look back on with gratitude because it forced me to utilize all my strengths and develop into skills I didn't think I had, like public speaking, attentiveness to detail and surrender to what I can't control. I would be a good caregiver because I'm passionate about sharing the love that I've been given- both in friendship and the tasks that come with caregiving- and helping whoever I'm with see how important they are. I will not be available to start any caregiving position until late in August 2020.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I make sure I treat my clients as if I was taking care of one of my family members. I have been in the health field for 11 years. I love what I do an I love to put a smile on my clients faces. One of my achievements that I am proud of is traveling the world an able to see an understand how the world is different in so many ways.

I've always been a caregiver. Starting with my family from a young age, I've always enjoyed being there for others. I took care of my mother while she had cancer and was her sole provider for most her illness. I've been a nursing assistant for nearly seven years and volunteered in hospitals for a decade. You will find that I have 6+ years of experience as a back office Medical Assistant. Here are some of my skills for you to look over: Order lab work, Maintain and set up patient rooms, Administered allergy injections, B12 injections, and child immunization. Perform EKGs, took vital signs, and draw blood, and obtain specimens. Answer multi-line phone, operate fax and copy machine. Assist the doctor with PAP and Pelvic exams. Assisted patients with the use of nebulizer treatments. I'm also proficient with EMR Epic. I also have a certification from the AAMA in my field and I am also certified in BLS. Care-giving started for me because of family. The more I worked with the nurses and rehabilitation specialists, home health care then eventually hospice; the more I was told I should pursue a career in healthcare. Leaving my long time career of being a teacher was hard however taking care of others in any capacity has always been apart of me. Now I have been a CNA for almost 2 years; I love it! I find that a good balance of playfulness and genuine concern can be key in building a trusting relationship with my clients.

I am a mother of two children and very proud of who they have become positive role models for each other to follow in this world! I have worked with hospice home care, adult home care, nursing homes, and assisted living residence. I am extremely modified by achieving others to their goal in their live journey.
