Hi! I'm a Native Hawaiian, born and raised in Hawaii and I moved with my family to Washington State 37 years ago. I have 5 adult children, 14 grandchildren, and a new great-grandson. I have tried many things including volunteer firefighting and EMT work, I'm an artist and love to cook and bake. My career has en impasses many years of working with kids of special needs from pre-school to adults including the medically fragile. I do some volunteer work at a Conservation District garden and I lead and teach in my church. I draw and paint, quilt and do pottery and I love to play the guitar and sing. I'm trying to be healthy with diet and exercise as an example to my family and for my own good. I built a barn home on 2 and a half acres a few years ago and, I garden. It's a pretty awesome life.

I'm a kind, calm, reliable, organized, tough & sharp caregiver (54 years old). I originally took a CNA course in 2023 to better care for my own aging parents, and my father's care needs as a diabetic on dialysis, 100% hearing impaired and with mild dementia have prepared me well for this role. I grew up helping in his diabetes management care, including healthy meals, medication reminders, and now, transport (VA & local hospitals & clinics). I teach English remotely part-time, as a freelance tutor to international students and love to read & learn. I'm seeking work as care provider because I have always been a caretaker and I derive great pleasure from helping others and bringing joy where I can. I love nature and outdoor adventures. My proudest achievement is raising my two daughters, preparing them for the adulthood they now are both thriving in. My two granddaughters bring me so much joy as well!

I started working as a caregiver 6 years ago. I fell in love. I enjoy being able to work one on one with so many different individuals with so many different stories and backgrounds. I really enjoy the companionship part of my job, really getting to know my clients.

I think what makes me a great caregiver is I treat others how I would want to be treated. I treat them with love and respect. I love making people happy. To see them smile puts a smile on my heart. My greatest achievement so far is getting married to the man I love and buying a house together. (:

Fun, easy going. I'm also more of a quiet person. I love one on one situations. I have always just been a natural caregiver. I have 8 siblings and we have always had other family members living with us. Caregiving is second nature for me. We have 4 kids, from 18yrs to 5yrs old. What attracted me to being a caregiver is simple; I love helping everyone. What I enjoy most about Caregiving, is there is nothing better than seeing a client or resident smile, laugh, joke, and tell life stories. My personal achievement that I am most proud of, I'm starting my own business. Slow growing. But hopefully soon I can support my family by taking care of you or your family member.

The thing I like the very most about caregiving is the personal relationships that are developed. I so enjoy listening to the life stories, joys and tragedies, that people remember and want to talk about. I love finding out that someone is an avid reader, board gamer, art, music or trivia buff and then finding a way for them to get involved in these activities again.
