I am a great caregiver because I take care of the client I show up with a smile,a good attitude& ready to work. I became a caregiver not on purpose but I am 10 plus years in the field I love helping the elderly and anyone who needs help. I've been recognized and complimented by clients to my supervisors on what great work I do.

Over 20 yrs experience caring for people of all ages and abilities. 5+ yrs as a CNA in PDX first working in a small facility for people w/ HIV/AIDS then onto temping at LTC Facilities all over PDX. 18 years working for UCP, OR w/ adults w/ CP & intellectual disabilities. 5+ yrs as an "Enhanced Worker" HCW doing in-home care for Aging & Disability Services. Now certified in WA as a HCA to work in-homes. Additional interests & education include: Cosmetology, Naturopathic Assistant & Juice Bar Manager. Study Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan & Meditation. Some massage school experience too. Strong interest in Nutrition and Whole Foods Cooking & Herbs. I believe we are here to help and learn from one another and I chose caregiving because it allows me to really thrive while hopefully uplifting or at least easing the lives of those I work with.

I was certified in November 2019 after attending a CNA training program in Hawaii Job Corps (Oahu, HI). In the program I was able to attain my HIPAA, Blood Borne Pathogens, and Basic Life Support. I have since then attended Western Iowa Tech where I received my prerequisites for Nursing 1. Because of the pandemic I decided to take a break from school to work and make ends meet. My Hawaii certification unfortunately expired before I could have it transferred so I have been working as an uncertified caregiver . Luckily for me, it's something I've always enjoyed doing. I do hope to get state certified soon because I take pride in this line of work and the relationships I build with my residents. [?]

My name is Jordan Fivecoats I grew up with my mom owning adult foster homes. I worked in the adult care home industry for over three years specializeing in Trumatic brain injuries. I started working At 18. When I was younger than 18 I volunteered at assisted living homes and helped around the house with activities and helping the residents eat, I read to the residents and just enjoyed helping them out, and that's what made me want to spend my time with elderly people.

I believe that I've alway been a natural at caregiving, I seem to perform tasks needed before even being asked, I'm the hostess with the mostest, one might say. I have done both in-home care and have also worked in facilities for seniors and medically fragile DD adults for nearly a decade. My traits that shine are that I'm professional, non-judgmental, compassionate, patient and adapt well to the various needs that present themselves in most seniors day to day lives. I believe maintaining one's independence and respect is very important as well as key to building a good client relationships. I have skills ranging from basic ADL's, managing household tasks, stellar record keeping abilities, med admin as well as hospice experience. I love all aspects of providing in home care while always keeping health and safety in mind. As a certified nursing assistant I have 22 years of experience working with end of life care such as Hospice, home aid and working with the elderly. I'm patient, kind, reliable and understanding of all situations. I enjoy working with people. I mostly enjoy working jobs where you have personal interaction and getting to people of all different backgrounds. The achievement that im most proud of is being able to care for those who can't care for themselves. I'm also vaccinated.

Hi I am Heather I recently returned back to my favorite career. I took a break to start my farm and it is going very well. I raise AGH pigs along with chicken of various breeds. I now have enough free time to work as a caregiver again. I have worked in facilities and in home care. Home care is my favorite because clients are able to stay in their home. I love all aspects of being a caregiver it is very fulfilling. I really enjoy being able to help others. I have my OSBN CNA license. I look forward to caring for your family.
