As of October 4, 2022 I'm current with all COVID-19 vaccine shots and on Oct 4, 2022 I got the newest booster shot. I have been a IP ( Independent Provider ) Hospice/CNA nurse for 10 plus years now after obtaining my license in 2011. But been a caregiver for over twenty years now. My certification includes experience working with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Cancer, Autism, Mental Health, Nurse Delegation, Sundowner's, Stroke/Brain Bleed, Stroke with AFO brace, Cerebral Palsy, PSP ( Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) and Diabetes. I am CPR certified. I have my own transportation, non smoker, and have a clean driving record. I love working with people, but my passion is to work with senior citizens. I enjoy reading, cooking, scrapbooking, listening to music, love doing puzzles and playing with my three small dogs. I am handy in both house and yard work. The part I love most about what I do is the smiles and enjoyment that I can see on my clients faces from the care and help I give them. My most recent work has consisted of taking care of a ninety-six year old sweet lady with Dementia/cancer. I was certified in November 2019 after attending a CNA training program in Hawaii Job Corps (Oahu, HI). In the program I was able to attain my HIPAA, Blood Borne Pathogens, and Basic Life Support. I have since then attended Western Iowa Tech where I received my prerequisites for Nursing 1. Because of the pandemic I decided to take a break from school to work and make ends meet. My Hawaii certification unfortunately expired before I could have it transferred so I have been working as an uncertified caregiver . Luckily for me, it's something I've always enjoyed doing.
