Hi my name is Debra and I have been a caregiver for 9 years. And the reason why I continue this career is I love helping people and to see their condition improve. Especially working with the Geriatric. I love to hear their life stories. And I care about these patients. Also, their families know they can trust me with a family member. My personal achievement: I am most proud of is when my assignment is completed we are sad to part and I know have done a good job and to also, receive a great letter of recommendation. Infact I have a couple of letters from past clients. My personalijty traits: I am easy going and I prefer to cater to my client and to make sure they have all that they need while I am on duty with them. And to make sure that their family does not have to worry about anything while they are in my care. Or shift.

I started doing caregiving in 2006 working for IHSS. I stayed with them until 2011. I loved the one on one with the client's. I have worked in facilities but didn't like that people weren't always getting the best care from all of the caregivers. I been doing private homes for a lot of years since. I love what I do and I am very grateful to do it. I have a lot of patience and compassion for my clients and there families. I try to give them the best care that they deserve. I do currently work for Cross Country Workforce doing Caregiving. I enjoy my job and I love working with folks. I love being able to help someone that's in need of care. It makes my heart smile.

I have been a caregiver for over 15years. I am also a Medical Assistante. I have dealt with clients with Alzheimer's, Dementia and other illnesses. I am mature, kind, caring, very patient, responsible, and hard working. I am sensitive to the needs and feelings of others, and good at responding and providing the care that people need. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I have a passion for caring for others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way because if I could still help my grandparents now with the experience I have now I would feel much better.

I have worked in hospitals as well as privately as a caregiver. I speak 2 other languages , Spanish and Italian. I have knowledge of medications, first aid and CPR. I am experience in caring for people with Cancer,, Alzheimer, Parkinson, kidney dialysis, liver transplant Heart attacks, stoke, neuropathy diabetes, hypertension, and patients in hospice.

The Reason I Became A Caregiver Is Because I'm A Very Compassionate & Loving Person I Enjoy Helping Those In Need Especially The Elderly. I Consider Myself A Very Friendly & Outgoing Person Who Enjoys Making The Elderly Smile & Not Feel Depressed Or Lonely. The One Achievement I'm Proud Of Is Helping One Of My Clients Begin Walking & Exercising Again After A Few Months After A Hip Surgery. I Love Being A Caregiver It's A Awesome Job

I have tremendous empathy, patience and respect for each client. I treat each one as I do my father, whom I have been caring for the last 7years.Before caregiving, I managed restaurants for 23 years. I have ALWAYS been a customer service focused person. I wanted to make a change that fulfilled my heart. The thing I enjoy most about my job is assisting people with retaining their independence and self respect, even with a disability. Everyone needs to feel productive, like they contribute. The personal achievement that I am most proud of is that in the last year I have gotten my dad into the best mental, nutritional health that he has been in in the last 30 years.
