Love working with elderly people giving my time to helping others get the best quality of life. Working with the elderly is like walking through a chapter in history. I wanted to make a difference in elderly lives.

I grew up helping seniors I knew and have always loved doing so. I love being needed and feeling like I am making their life better, happier, healthier. Hi my name is natalie and i have been a caregiver for over 5 yrs now and DSP for 4 yrs now. I have made employee of the month at my current job. I have perfect attendence. I pride myself on how patient I am , I really love what I do , I've always been the caregiver of my family . What made me want to become a caregiver was one of my own aunts got stage 4 cancer and I then put myself in trade school for CNA so I could learn how to care for her . I enjoy all the different personalities and people I get to meet while providing care ... one achievement I'm proud of is making it 2 years in memory care as well as picking up skills in medtech

I started caregiving as a part of my nursing studies. From there I realized I love working with the elderly and reminded me of working with my Great Grandfather who had Dementia. I make it my goal to provide calming and safe care for all my clients.

I have been a caregiver my whole life It started with observing my Mother. I don't reserve my caregiving to just people, it just requires care. I like to bring Joy to those who have lost so much, and they are usually the nicest people. In several cases I have been one of the last people to help them feel "normal" . My ideal job would be for someone who wants to "get better". I have great energy for thatAt the end of the day you feel good by helping to stretch out normal It can get stressful, but i enjoy what I do.. I have been at the feet of people who are passing, and the feet of someone who died and returned. I can help with physical therapy, am a good cook, and know our hospitals. I can do far more than clean.

My greatest accomplishment being as a caregiver, i work hard and am proud that my dedication to leadership coursework paid off. Knowing their family appreciates my help, kindness and entrust when i leave with their precious ones. Telling me and thanking me that i did a great job. My job includes preparing meals, laundry, light housekeeping, medication, bathing, dessing, grooming and feeding.

Everyone has a story. I like helping people and found working as a 'Home Care Aid' very fulfilling. Several years ago, my first client was a woman in hospice and I filled in so the family could get some rest. As I sat beside the lady, I looked around the room and saw pictures of her as a young woman on her wedding day, as a young mother and later as a grandmother. Her cook book was there with all kinds of personal notes etc. and just think I was so lucky to have been able to be there with her for that short time. Most of my clients I have been able to help with errands, transportation, meals, assisting with bathing and companionship. I value the time I have spent with the new friends I have made - short term and long term.
