I am a mother of 3 children (& multiple God children) and a grandma of 6 (as well as multiple God Grandkids!) I always have a house full of kids! I worked in the healthcare field for years. I love working with children as well as elderly and disabled people. I have worked in Nursing homes, group homes, hospitals, and State facilities taking care of children, elderly people as well Developmentally Disabled and Mentally I'll individuals. I am a people person and love to work with people! I am very dependable and I am a very fast learner. I listen to the needs and concerns of the individual(s) that I am taking care of (working for) and I try to take care of everything asked of me. I address concerns immediately and try to resolve them (or ease them) to the best of my ability! I love to have fun. I am a home body, I don't party. I am excellent with children and children seem to really like me. I can cook, clean, give medicine if needed, swim, go to the park, take children to extra curricular activities, give baths, and put to bed with a bedtime story if that's what needed. I've done it all!!

My mother is a nurse so it's all I know, I would read her text books while she was in school, and she let me go with her to jobs and volunteer so I've done it right out of high school! Impacting their day, I get close with my people and try to do things I know they like and enjoy and let them know that I hear them and care what they have to say, everyone has a story and I wanna hear as many as possible! I rescue reptiles on the side and have been able to help and turn some into companion pets and get to come with me to the places I work before and the residents have seemed to love it, it's cool to take something kinda unordinary and turn it into something positive they can learn about, that's out of their norm and they seem to like it, I've helped quite a few seniors through this line of work, which is funny to me they always tell me how much I help them, cuz in reality they are the ones that help me, and keep me humble and kind, and fulfill a empty part of me I never knew I have!

I became a CNA in July of 2014 after losing my daughter Karleigh to a genetic disease SMA. It's alot like ALS except it's the infant form. I wanted to help people in the same way that the nurses and staff helped my baby girl. I fell in love with the job. I started the pre nursing school in 2016 and am currently going for my RN at Lewis and Clark. Now that I take care of people for a living I couldn't imagine doing anything else.

Hi, an thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm not one to talk about me, so this feels a little strange ..but here I go. I believe what makes me a good caregiver, is because I really do care. Years ago I use to work in nursing homes an did home health. I saw a lot an it wasn't good. I will never let anything happen to anyone I care for. I started working for a company called Impact CIL, where I take care of those with a disability . Now, I'm wanting to branch out more like this here. I am 58 an my kids are grown an gone.
