I have been an STNA/caregiver for 19 years! I have cared for patients in nursing facilities, hospitals, and their homes. I lead with love and enjoy serving seniors in any way that they may need.

What makes me a great caregiver is I am loving, passionate and have compassion for people and their needs. I became a caregiver because I was given the opportunity to take care of my grandmother. She was my world and when she was diagnosed with liver cancer, I found my perfect world falling apart. I took care of my grandmother up until the end, and I found it very rewarding. Loving her in such a way has given me a special love for people. I love people, I love being of service to others, and do whatever I can to assist. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to give back and be of service to those who need assistance. I love being a caregiver because I meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. I am able to be in their presence and hear the wisdom that is shared. I am proud of finally achieving my bachelor degree after raising two children as a single parent. I did not allow obstacles to hold me hostage from my goals and dreams.

Iam a fun ,loving,and have a great personality,I first work for a place called my love of care in quincy,ohio n I love working with other people and I have a son with lay syndrome and this type of work teaches me alot of stuff I never new n I just love learning new things n ways how to interact with other people. And I have achieved my certificate on CPR doing this type ofnwork also.

I have two children that I care for at home. Factory work is not for me. I love being hands on and working with people. I enjoy the relationships I create with my consumers. I love being their safe place and being able to put smile on their faces everyday. Every consumer that I have came across has ALWAYS loved me and what I do for them. Hello! My name is Summer and I am laid back in personality, but very attentive and helpful. I am careful to mold to the patient and familys' dynamics and needs. I love getting to know the people I care for. My greatest accomplishment is taking an interest in the music my previous client played professionally for 30 years, but had lost his ability to play years ago due to illness. Because I listened to his music with him and was willing to reminisce with him, he felt like he'd gained a piece of that partof his life back and began sharing his love of music with his children again before he passed. I enjoy every minute spent with a patient, I love caring for them. I love cooking, cleaning, being their arms and legs, and helping them feel as normal as possible. I am constantly looking for ways to help, to go above and beyond.

I have a great heart for the seniors, they are so very special. They tell about their lives that they lived and their children and what they have achieved. They are lonely and just want someone to truly listen to them. I've taken care of the several elderly my best one is Tom he wouldn't not let me change his foley see I was new to him and he had several new girls that made him uncomfortable changing it. He was serious made me get the nurse which was my daughter to watch me change it ! I was good changing it then he was fine letting me take care of him and his foley.
