I have been an STNA/caregiver for 19 years! I have cared for patients in nursing facilities, hospitals, and their homes. I lead with love and enjoy serving seniors in any way that they may need.

What makes me a great caregiver is I am loving, passionate and have compassion for people and their needs. I became a caregiver because I was given the opportunity to take care of my grandmother. She was my world and when she was diagnosed with liver cancer, I found my perfect world falling apart. I took care of my grandmother up until the end, and I found it very rewarding. Loving her in such a way has given me a special love for people. I love people, I love being of service to others, and do whatever I can to assist. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to give back and be of service to those who need assistance. I love being a caregiver because I meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. I am able to be in their presence and hear the wisdom that is shared. I am proud of finally achieving my bachelor degree after raising two children as a single parent. I did not allow obstacles to hold me hostage from my goals and dreams.

I became a Caregiver after I attended college as a Human Services student. I knew I always wanted to provide care to others and my time at college showed me I needed to pursue another direction other than college. I want to help others by providing one on one care and to enable them to be as independent as they possibly can at the same time. When I can assist people by cooking, cleaning or encouraging people it warms my heart to be able to do so. I enjoy helping others. I have professional and personal cleaning and caregiving experience.

I became a caregiver because its my passion to take care of others. The best part of being a caregiver is that making sure the person that can't take of themselves are well taken care. The personal achievement is when they thank you so much for coming and so happy you are there to take of them. I am 28 years old. I am have never been married and I don't have any kids. Taking care of other has always been my passion. I have been a caregiver about 4 years. I am being doing home health care for 3 years. I am reliable and have excellent transportation. I am just looking for something on the weekends.

I became a caregiver because I watched my Grandma in the nursing home get treated poorly and I wanted to make a difference in at least one person's life. I make a good caregiver because I treat everyone like they're my family; I'm loving, caring, and very compassionate about what I do.

When I was a stay at home mom, my mother became seriously ill, it was then when I decided to become a Certified Nurse's Aide. My husband and I moved in with my parents so I could give around the clock care for my mother until she passed in '07. I then worked in a Hospital for only a few months and decided that kind of enviornment just wasn't for me. Since then I have been working in Nurseing Homes and love the feeling of family and friends, there is a feeling of closeness, respect, and love I develope for my patient/resident that I personally cherish, and helping others in a loveing and careing way.

Hi. I love helping people of all ages and relate well with everyone. My degree is in special education. I chose this because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. I taught pre-k students with autism and middle school students with behavior, emotional and learning disabilities. I currently work for a Home Health agency in Florida but am relocating to the Lima area. My clients are diverse in their needs and their ages. Three of my clients are visited in their homes and one in an Alzheimer's center. When I visit my clients, my goal is to take care of their needs, help them to have a great time, keep them happy and smiling and make their day brighter. My philosophy is that I take care of my clients the way I would like my family and friends or myself when the time comes, to be cared for. Most of those in the Alzheimer's center can't really communicate their needs. I have gotten to know most of them and love interacting with them. If it's cold, I get them a blanket. If I think they want a snack, I get them cookies or ice cream. Sometimes we sing or dance or paint...anything to keep them active. I am very passionate about caring for others. I love babies and children as well. I believe that play and social skills are as important as an education. Of course learning can be fun :) It is important to be well rounded. Those who know me would say that I am kind, sincere, genuine, responsible, caring, fun, dedicated, helpful, can multi task,

I grew up an a family of EMT/Firefighters/Caregivers, so it was pretty much in my blood so to speak. I enjoy helping others. I enjoy being able to help others with things that are difficult now for them to do, and the smile it brings to their face, it gives me a sense of comfort knowing I made their day better. A personal achievement I am proud of is that I am currently working FT, going to school, and am the mom of a 4 year old little boy, and have maintained fantastic grades, and made the deans list. I enjoy keeping myself busy, spending time with my family, and getting to know new people, especially the families of the people I take care of.

I am a very dependable caring person. I have done this kind of work for 17 years and I have been an aide for 3 years. I knew I wanted to be a care giver because I like to help people and make sure their needs are met. I think it is very rewarding to be able to help somebody with something they can't do on their own.
