I have been an STNA/caregiver for 19 years! I have cared for patients in nursing facilities, hospitals, and their homes. I lead with love and enjoy serving seniors in any way that they may need.

What makes me a great caregiver is I am loving, passionate and have compassion for people and their needs. I became a caregiver because I was given the opportunity to take care of my grandmother. She was my world and when she was diagnosed with liver cancer, I found my perfect world falling apart. I took care of my grandmother up until the end, and I found it very rewarding. Loving her in such a way has given me a special love for people. I love people, I love being of service to others, and do whatever I can to assist. My greatest accomplishment is taking an interest in the music my previous client played professionally for 30 years, but had lost his ability to play years ago due to illness. Because I listened to his music with him and was willing to reminisce with him, he felt like he'd gained a piece of that partof his life back and began sharing his love of music with his children again before he passed. I feel like I am a great caregiver cause I try to make the client feel as independent as possible , and by this I mean by helping out with all of their needs but helping out in the way they like it and as a friend not as a worker.
