I love to assist people with everyday daily living skills. In me doing this I can help make sure they have a better quality way of life and they can enjoy it without the hassle of not being able to miss anything that they need. I can ensure that they get what they need and it warms my heart knowing that I can assist in that skill for them.

I majored in Social Work and have had a wonderful 27 year career of working with children, adolescents and the aging. I have worked at UVA hospital where I gained insight into the importance of maintaining good health and how devastating a disease or accident is on one's health and life. I have worked for department of social services and assisted the aging with receiving the services needed to remain in their home or to move into a facility. At this time, I am doing "hands on" care in people's home to assist them with various activities of daily living. My mother was bedridden for many years and I was one of her primary caregivers. I know the burden on family when caring for a loved one and the importance of support. My grandfather lived to be 96 and I was there for him to assist with shopping, meal prep, housekeeping, medication reminders and transportation. I cherish the times that I spent with my mother and grandfather caring for them. I also cherish the support I received from others.

I'm Caring, Compassionate, and Hard working. I became a caregiver when my Grand mother became ill. I wanted to give her the same care she gave us when my parents split. I always try to give a 110% and would do whatever it takes to make the clients feel as normal as possible. I've been a caregiver for over 20 years. When a loved one went into rehab after being in the hospital and finding that the level of care he received while in the nursing home was awful I swore I would help those who needed genuinely good care. I was able to witness those who were not treated fairly and could not speak up for themselves in these homes and family members who were caught between a rock and a hard spot not being able to be there or care for their loved one in their home, my heart went out to them. I love helping people and putting a smile on someone's face. My cases have involved dealing with dementia patients, patients with mobility issues, bed ridden, hospice care and just someone who needs a friend to listen and someone who really cares about them. I am proud to say that those families that I have cared for have been very happy with my services That puts a smile on my face and says I've done a job well done.
