Hi, My name is Amanda I've been taking care of people for over 15 year. I'm very caring and enjoying helping.

I majored in Social Work and have had a wonderful 27 year career of working with children, adolescents and the aging. I have worked at UVA hospital where I gained insight into the importance of maintaining good health and how devastating a disease or accident is on one's health and life. I have worked for department of social services and assisted the aging with receiving the services needed to remain in their home or to move into a facility. At this time, I am doing "hands on" care in people's home to assist them with various activities of daily living. My mother was bedridden for many years and I was one of her primary caregivers. I know the burden on family when caring for a loved one and the importance of support. My grandfather lived to be 96 and I was there for him to assist with shopping, meal prep, housekeeping, medication reminders and transportation. I cherish the times that I spent with my mother and grandfather caring for them. I also cherish the support I received from others.

I have been in the healthcare field for 10+ years and also have nursing home experience. I have always wanted to help others. I enjoy the relationships that I have built with my clients over the years. I love what I do so much that I want start a home health care business myself eventually.

I am an upbeat, happy CNA of 14 years. I have worked everywhere from in my clients homes to hospital to long term care facilities. I have experience with hoyer lifts, sit to stands and hands on transfers. I have worked with many people with dementia and Alzheimers and I have about a years experience working with the mentally disabled. I enjoy helping people and knowing that I am doing what I can to make others lives easier

I love taking care of people. It makes my day very exciting.

Warm hearted person, love being around and helping clients and families. Taking care of my grandmother when she became ill made me to take care of other's. The interaction with different people the smiles that come with helping them knowing that if I can help someone with a simple meal makes my day. Raising 3 daughter's of my own and now raising my 4th daughter for the last 12 years taking care of my grandmother, grandfather, my dad while living with me and my aunt while living with me gave me such pleasure to be able to be there for them when they needed me most always have had that passion to take care of anyone that needs me.

My personality traits that help me be a great caregiver is my kindness good heart and helpful ways I'm always a easy going caregiver to get along with and I also have fun with my patients. What attracted me to be a caregiver was my my heart. Ever since I was little I always enjoyed helping people because when it was all said and done I felt good about my choices and that I did good deeds. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I get to make the clients happy and make them feel like their young again. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is is actually becoming a caregiver because I was always told that I would never be nothing and that I don't have what it takes and I proved them wrong because I went out and did it and completed what I set my mind to.

I love the smile I get when I'm at work and I'm doing my job and the family has somebody that really cares and enjoys there job.I would say my biggest personal achievement would have to be continuing my education but the most important one was having beautiful kids and becoming a mother.

I'm Caring, Compassionate, and Hard working. I became a caregiver when my Grand mother became ill. I wanted to give her the same care she gave us when my parents split. I always try to give a 110% and would do whatever it takes to make the clients feel as normal as possible. I've been a caregiver for over 20 years. My greatest accomplishment is to have taken courses for the L.P.N. curriculum. I want to make a difference in the lives I touch.

I took on being a Caregiver when my Dad took sick with The Big C.....i care for him at home until he died....My brother pass in between..then I took care of my Mommie...She couldnt walk..until she died..I love people and caring for them ...im a DEACON in my Church..I am true too heart taking care of people and family.I also took care of an eldely couple until their death...I was with them for 2years.....the family really loved my work....they really blessed me for all i did for their parents...I cook,wash clothes as well..
