My name is Arlette, My journey working with seniors started when I cared for my grandmother when she needed the help about 10 years ago. After that I noticed I enjoyed caring for the elderly and spending time with them. I love listening to their stories and learning from their experiences. I see them and treat them as my family. I like to help them get the best quality of life under their circumstances. I feel a sense of accomplishment every time it's time for me to leave their house and they have a smile on their faces. That lets me know they are happy and feel safe under my care. I have worked with people suffering from different illness like: Alzheimer's and dementia, cancer, hospice, C Diff. I like to have a good and close relationship with my client's families and work together with them. I can provide letters of recommendation if they are needed.

I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that I take care of all my patients as if they were my own family and make sure they are comfortable and most importantly I listen to their needs. I first became interested in health care when my mother was ill and needed care herself and realized that I had a real passion for helping others. I enjoy knowing that the family can be at ease knowing I'm there taking care of their loved ones. At Long Beach Memorial I was know as the "sitter whisper" because whenever they had a difficult patient they would alway assign me that patient and by the end of the day the patient would no longer require restraints or was completely compliant and friendly. They always ask what was my secret and I would say I simply listen to what their needs are.

I am a loving caring honest passionate Christian women I've been doing in home caregiving for over 25 years I love the elderly they are my heart and my passion, helping families that are in need to care for their loved ones, I am proud of my faith and my ability to care for others. I do grocery shopping meal preparation administrative medication as well as medication reminder bathing dressing housekeeping exercise doctor's appointment running errands transferring/ Mobility blood pressure ,vitals monitoring / hospice care and much more.I'm very punctual and very reliable i go above and beyond.I am a great companion and experience with Alzheimer and Dementia clients, I'm HHA/HHP/CERTIFIED I assisted LVN,RN,I HAVE ALL THE QUALIFICATIONS CNA, I'm CPR, and FIRST AID certified.I consider my self a people person, I'm gentle very patient iv worked in assistance living's. I'm flexible. I'm covid-19 clear. What makes me feel great about being a caregiver is that the client is loyal,and always happy. I am tolerant,patient,humble,able to work with tough clients.I also treat the client like if he or she was like my family.I don't take anything personal.I love my job and I'm patience I'm always nice and courteous I always put their needs first before mine.

Caregiving for me means taking the act of providing help and comfort to my clients . It can involve many different activities, such as grocery shopping; help with dressing, eating, toileting; or providing emotional support to another person while they navigate a physical, emotional, or health challenge.

What makes me not a great care giver but, a good caregiver are tools of education, understanding, knowledge and compassion with an emphasis on debilitating diseases. I became a caregiver when my husband was diagnosed with Interstitial Pulmonary Disease he was given five years life expectancy. I learned how to best care for him which was challenging in every way imaginable. At the same time I enrolled in a CNA program worked at a convalescent hospital night shift in the Alzheimer Unit in Grass Valley California from 2003 thru 2007. In all these experiences what I took to heart years later was very effective in caring for my mother. My personal achievement in this line of work is having family and friends trusting me with their care which is endearing to me.

I am a very caring considerate of others I enjoy working with the elderly cooking cleaning and being a companion so they never feel alone. My mother had her on board in here and took care of foster children and I enjoyed helping her when needed my achievement is I make people and their family happy and that makes me feel good just knowing I made a difference in someone's life

being away from my parents that ive lived and took care for so many years , i decided to continue the care im giving them to other people who are in need. I maybe not well experience compared to others but i have the heart and love when giving care to my patients.

I'm friendly easy going enthusiastic with a good attitude and always ready to assist the clients needs.
