What makes me feel great about being a caregiver is that the client is loyal,and always happy. I am tolerant,patient,humble,able to work with tough clients.I also treat the client like if he or she was like my family.I don't take anything personal.I love my job and I'm patience I'm always nice and courteous I always put their needs first before mine.

I am excited to be considered for the open position of caretaker that this company has posed. Over my long career in the maintenance. I began working in caretaking more than three years ago, during which time I have advanced to hold more sophisticated. I became a caregiver, because I saw how much a home health aide helped my grandmother through her cancer, it inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I am currently a full-time student athlete at the University of Cal State LA. I enjoyed being a caregiver because it gives you the opportunity to learn about people, and their different backgrounds. My biggest achievement thus far would be me starting a mental health group at my university and letting thousands of students talk to me when things are rough. I went through depression and once I was okay I realized how many people suffer in silence and it was my duty to help bring awareness and make sure students had the resources to keep a good state of mind.In my current position, I maintain an efficient and organized work mentality as I assist in the care of several patients, dealing with mental health illnesses, chronic diseases, dementia, Alzheimer's, disabilities and etc. I have a knack for problem solving and work well independently and with little oversight. I am compassionate, outgoing, and resourceful. I am a self-starter and excel at housekeeping, engaging clients with light activities, and meal preparation. I am familiar with caregiver protocols and learn new procedures quickly. I hope to contribute to your patient care goals.

I am punctual, very compassionate about what I do for people who have lost some independence from a life event. Compassion for the family involved to help lessen the burden. I like to tell stories that help the family get to know who I am and I love to hear stories from them as well. I am proficient in basic skills: personal hygiene like showers/bath, oral care, toileting, back-rub, dressing; Assists in activities of daily living such as serving & feeding, ambulating, positioning, transferring, administer meds & nutritional supplements, dressings surgical prep; Do & record vital sign: blood pressure, weight, pulse, temperature, finger pricking for sugar levels in diabetics; Measure & record food & liquid intake, urinary & fecal output and report changes. Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Patience is a virtue inherent in me. I always work above & beyond my duty for the comfort & safety of my patients. Why did I become a caregiver? I became a caregiver because of my desire to help others especially the elderly. My passion and dedication for seniors is very important to me. Nothing brings me great pleasure in assisting people that are in need of some care. My greatest achievement in life are my children. I am a mother of four and a grandmother of six. Teaching my children to respect and help others gives me the satisfaction that when in some giving time I need help, they will assist me just like I assist and care for others in the same manner. Hello, Although I have a degree/career in the operating room assisting surgeons with surgeries..........I have found my passion in making a tremendous difference in the quality & care of one's life by caregiving and nursing career. My grandparents played a tremendous role in my life (whom I also cared for at the end of their long lives) and I have always been very comfortable & fond of elderly, and geriatric people. I have found it to be an absolute joyful and rewarding experience to be a caregiver & nurse. We are called to take good care of the Widowed & Orphaned. My passion and love for them are evident.
