Hi Everyone, my name is randnesha skinner,I like to be called nesha for short.I have a certificate as a Pca,Home care aid and also Certified Nurse assistant.I graduated last year with and Associates in science degree.have been in the healthcare field for over 10yrs and I love it.Im proud to be one of many to help the elderly with achieving their goals and daily living activities.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I pay attention to details. I do exactly what I'm told, asked and also give advice according to my expertise and I tell the truth about what is needed when it matters. I first started working with elders within my monastery taking care of their basic needs and taking them back and forth to doctor's appointments and following their doctors care of plan. That transmitted to my professional work life as a certified nursing aide, as I work in the nursing homes and also in private home settings. It brings me joy to see those who are in need of help receive the assistance that they need without taking away their dignity and also giving them the extra help that's necessary.... at the same time allowing them to do what they can for themselves. I have a broad range going from helping those with terminal illnesses all the way to those who just need extra assistance around the house. There is no job too big or too small for me to do.

Hello I'm Kate! I'm currently a Sophomore nursing major at Plattsburgh State University. I have a lot of experience working with the elderly from my job at the Teresian House in Albany, NY and from helping my 92 year old grandmother. I'm CPR certified, and am a Certified Feeding Assistant. As a part of my fall semester, I am currently doing clinical rotations in a local nursing home to gain more experience. I will be in home from college Dec 16th- Jan 24th and again May 18th- August 24th. I love working with the elderly population and I am proud to say I am quite good at what I do!

Hello! I started out as a certified nurse aide in the year 1999. I decided to help care for people when helping care for my great grandmother. It felt great to be able to be there for someone in their time of need. I have since cared for so many different types of ailments, diseases and people who need general household help. I've ran errands, did light cleaning, fed, bathed, assisted with walking. Cooked meals, taken them to appointments, also sat as a companion. I've helped others go through hospice care, cancer care, Parkinsons, dementia, alzheimers, sundowners, after surgery care, wound care, broken body parts, stiff body parts...lots of different things. I've been helping the elderly population for 24 years now. I enjoy being there, listening/talking with them, going out to lunch or shopping. Staying in doing puzzles or watching old westerns or just simply being there for them in any way I can. I've spent time with others on holidays as well. It's interesting to spend time with people and hear their life stories of "how it used to be" or to see how town was in the 40's or 50's or back when there was horse & buggy rides to school...enjoy it all. I like to spend my time with my grandbabies also doing crafts or watching my favorite series. Family is everything to me, we all try to be there and help each other as much as we can. I have worked in places from the ER, to the hospitals, nursing homes and in people's homes. I believe your loved one has the right to live the best life they can even when they are not feeling their best, battling a sickness or are elderly. It's not my job to be their boss as I work for them. I enjoy seeing them still do whatever they can to live the best life they can. I love helping people it gives me a sense of joy and warms my soul. It makes me a better person, it has taught me patience and to enjoy every moment of everyday even when it's not the greatest of days. I am proud of the mom I am. HELLO! My career as a caregiver started with a chronically ill father. Throughout my childhood and in my early teens my dad was very ill with diabetes Type 1. When I was 5 years old my dad lost his eyesight. As a preteen I participated in his care helping with blood sugar readings and Insulin injections. When I was able to drive I help out by taking him to doctor's appointments. I went away to college and lived in Florida for a few years and as my dad became progressively worse I moved home. I became increasingly involved in his care as my mother was worn out and had a very full-time job. At that point I decided to change career paths and go to nursing school. I can offer 24/7 live-in care in my beautiful home. I have a full apartment downstairs has full kitchen, living/bedroom and full handicap bathroom with double sliding glass doors out on patio overlooking beautiful property and mountain views. Have worked at several Nursing homes in area for almost 5 years. Also did home care for my Mom who passed in May 2017 in a special apartment built for her with all safety features in my own home .
