My name is Michelle. I am 46 years old. Will be 47 next month. I absolutely love to work with the elderly community. I started taking care of my nana at the young age of 16. I was her main caretaker. She had neuropathy and was bedridden as well as being diabetic, having a colostomy bag and the onset of dementia. I absolutely adored her. She was my whole world. Unfortunately, she passed away when I was 18 years old and at that time, I knew what I was set to do here on earth and that was to take care of people. It just comes naturally to me to be honest I am a caregiver at heart.! it gives me great rewards just to see the smile on someone's face when taking amazing care of them. I have done private duty caregiving for the last 20+ years and I'm just looking to do something different and coming on board with CareLinx. I became a caregiver because my mother had entered into the medical field as I was growing up and listening to her talk about how she enjoys helping others. I decided that I should give it a try when it was my time to choose a profession. Once I got into the field at nineteen years old, I fell in love with being a caregiver and I have since then within my seven years of experience prided myself on making sure I give the best care to each and every patient I've had the pleasure to care for. What makes me a good caregiver is that I go above and beyond to please the patients I am caring for and I do my absolute best to make them feel comfortable as well as just enjoying being a wonderful companionship.
