My name is Michelle. I am 46 years old. Will be 47 next month. I absolutely love to work with the elderly community. I started taking care of my nana at the young age of 16. I was her main caretaker. She had neuropathy and was bedridden as well as being diabetic, having a colostomy bag and the onset of dementia. I absolutely adored her. She was my whole world. Unfortunately, she passed away when I was 18 years old and at that time, I knew what I was set to do here on earth and that was to take care of people. It just comes naturally to me to be honest I am a caregiver at heart.! it gives me great rewards just to see the smile on someone's face when taking amazing care of them. I have done private duty caregiving for the last 20+ years and I'm just looking to do something different and coming on board with CareLinx. I became a caregiver because my mother had entered into the medical field as I was growing up and listening to her talk about how she enjoys helping others. I decided that I should give it a try when it was my time to choose a profession. Once I got into the field at nineteen years old, I fell in love with being a caregiver and I have since then within my seven years of experience prided myself on making sure I give the best care to each and every patient I've had the pleasure to care for. What makes me a good caregiver is that I go above and beyond to please the patients I am caring for and I do my absolute best to make them feel comfortable as well as just enjoying being a wonderful companionship. Being a caregiver for me is rewarding to know when I've put a smile on each persons face and family by just coming in with the willingness to meet their expectations. Well with my family being disabled and issue in health that's what pushed me more to help with the elderly and kids. I love when they laugh and are happy, and I can help with any little thing. Passion is what you have to have in this field of care. I'm caring and loving, love to laugh and make the best of my day.
