I love getting to know people and hear their stories and experiences. The reason I want to be a caregiver is because I like being able to help others, it fills me with a warm feeling, and I am learning Spanish but not fluent yet.

My entire life, people have been drawn to my light, loving energy, compassion and sense of humor. Most often I have heard that my presence speaks volumes, I'm a ray of sunshine and an earth angel. I feel our elders are a treasure and should receive the help and support they deserve. After decades working in a corporate setting I decided to leave and pursue a more heart-centered career. I had been drawn for years to the idea of working with elders and those in hospice and once I started training I knew I had found my life purpose. Regardless of age, I enjoy being a caregiver! I love knowing that I make a difference in peoples lives through my work, volunteering and my 'being of service' way of being. I have many personal achievements that I'm proud of, but the one that touches my heart the most is that I allowed myself the gift of time and self-reflection to step into my life purpose, being of service in elder care, end of life care and other related areas that bring together all of my education, gifts and life experiences. I ask questions about my client's well bing, needs and desires to be of best health. I give feedback to clients about what I think they need. I love keeping things in order and clean so things needed for clients are not searched for. I wanted to help mom and dad with the aging process and keep best health management. I am a skilled massage therapist and use professional touch to ease any pains. I have great patience and following through with commitment and effort to grow and help what needs to be done. I love suggesting ideas to people I work for to reach their goals.

I enjoy getting to know my clients. I really enjoy hearing stories from when they were younger. It is a goal of mine to do my best to ensure I am providing great care to every client.

I am a pretty easy going person I have a neutral personality so I get along with pretty much anyone. I have been a cna for over 13 years. I have worked in many different aspects of the field so I know my way around. I'm outgoing and love to encourage independence and being able to help people conquer daily tasks. I enjoy seeing them laugh and joke and have a smile on their face. I am proud that I am able to help them achieve daily goals and keep a smile and laughing and be happy while doing it.

I'm a very friendly, caring, and an attention to detail kind of person. I was attracted to being a caregiver because of flexible scheduling as well as caring for others in need. I have a very mothering, maturing kind of spirit and love spreading that to others.

My first caregiving job was taking care of a blind girl. I knew it was my calling to care for people. I've always had a way with making those around me feel better. Many of my jobs were private duty through word of mouth. I've done much work with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients. What I appreciate the most has been my Hospice patients. I am kind, compassionate, reliable, happy and flexible.
