My entire life, people have been drawn to my light, loving energy, compassion and sense of humor. Most often I have heard that my presence speaks volumes, I'm a ray of sunshine and an earth angel. I feel our elders are a treasure and should receive the help and support they deserve. After decades working in a corporate setting I decided to leave and pursue a more heart-centered career. I had been drawn for years to the idea of working with elders and those in hospice and once I started training I knew I had found my life purpose. Regardless of age, I enjoy being a caregiver! I love knowing that I make a difference in peoples lives through my work, volunteering and my 'being of service' way of being. I have many personal achievements that I'm proud of, but the one that touches my heart the most is that I allowed myself the gift of time and self-reflection to step into my life purpose, being of service in elder care, end of life care and other related areas that bring together all of my education, gifts and life experiences. I've been in cna since September 2017 and got inspired growing up helping my great grandmother around the house and after she past helping my elders came something to look forward to do I love to assist with their needs but dont help completely that way they are still doing part of it but if I see them struggling or I'll see if they need anything but I'll always work with them to improve more then how they was I've done home help before and its different but its easier sometimes but I'm willing to try new thi as all the time

I took an early retirement from nursing in 2015 to help raise my grandsons but have continued in the home care field.
