One achievement that I am proud of is that I've worked at doing care giving ever since the late nineties. I've been a caregiver since I was 19 and now I'm 44. My name is Johnecia Kyles, I have a grandmother that I use to help my mother take care of whenever she was busy. Which is what attracted me to becoming a caregiver. I have a ton of experience in assisting, patience, understanding and so much more. I seen how just having someone care for you when you really need it can have a huge impact and how much easier it made their daily duties less stressful. I enjoy the 1 on 1 time and listening to their stories about what life use to be like for them. I'm mostly proud of the way I can help other families who were in the same situation My mother and grandmother was in with assisting their loved ones and lending them a extra hand in their time of need.

I have 8 years of Geriatric Care in Nursing homes, Assisted living facilities and in home care. I enjoy helping others and will continue my education to become a nurse practitioner and be able to provide health care to various ages of life through my career.

Something I've always took pride in is how caring I am towards people. I have always been empathetic and really dive in to conversations with people too get to know them. I am compassionate. I have always been a team player but I also believe in being a leader. I've put a lot of thought into being a healthcare worker, because it is not an easy job. But I've also thought about how many people need help in being cared for. I love the job that I do. I believe the most personal achievement I am proud of is getting so close to my patients. I've connected with a lot of people. I remember I had a patient that I took care of for almost a year and I really connected with her. After some time she got really sick and was soon going to pass. I met her family and asked them if I could sing to her and they let me ( I sang to her a lot). Little did I know that they were not going to be able to have a service for her. When we were done singing and praising they all just cried and thanked me. They told me that they weren't going to be able to have service and it was as if God brought the service through me as a vessel. I believe that was my greatest accomplishment in this job.

I have always been a caring person. I would rather give than to receive. I have been a CNA for 30 years. I am CPR certified. I did have my EMT certification. I am a Med Tech certified. This is my calling. I am 55 and getting to old to work in nursing homes. But I want to continue giving and caring for the elderly. This is all I have done and I would not do anything else until I am forced to. This is my calling from god.
