I have always been the caregiver in my family from my grandmother who suffered a heart attack when I was 11 up to 2016 when my mother-in-law became ill with Parkinson's. Well, back in 2007, my grandfather was in a hospice care facility, when things became too difficult for him to move, do activities and even speak, it was hard to comprehend the situation our family was going through, but before his last days, him, he would mentiom the staff who were helping him get through the painful process of his final days, they were helpful, kind, and spend quality time with him, making his journey a little bit easier, we would hear stories from caregivers who would tell us things my grandfather would speak of and gave us clarity that he was in good care, we thanked them, they became a big part of our family for many years, it is why I wanted to be a caregiver, to help families who cant be there for there loved ones because of there jobs or any reason for that matter, I made friends from families I helped get through tough situations, it doesnt get any easier to be honest, but it only makes this job only more fulfilling knowing that there are people who not only the care we provide, but to spend quality time that I wish I wouldve gotten the time with my grandfather
