Hi Ive been in the medical field in various levels of patient care over 35 years. I have prenursing training and education , Im a registered Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant, much more than a CNA. After caring for my 95 year old mom for 6 years; the realization needing an xtra hand, if nothing else to get a break , was challenging to locate a professional quality caregiver that actually knew what they were doing, and were reliable. It's important to have a good fit with your reliable caregiver. In order to achieve quality care, the well-being , help maintain as much independence as possible, and mentally stimulation; plus provide comfortably safe environment is crucial. I offer a variety of shifts, days, and nights, over-night and weekends /holidays stays, to assist, and provide that much needed break to the full time family caregivers. Especially if you are on your own and need a helping hand till you recover, I'm there for you. I enjoy making a difference helping those that really need it. I am a kindhearted professional specializing in the field of caregiving. I have expertise in working with brain injury patients. Losing people close to me who were terminally ill attracted me to being a caregiver. I find joy in dedicating my life to the overall health and wellness of all patients.

My major objective for becoming a caregiver is to make a difference in people's lives. People need a doctor to diagnose and treat their diseases and ailments, they need a nurse to administer medication and treatment when they are sick. However, at all times they need a caregiver to listen to them, attend to their everyday needs and treat them with compassion. That is where I come in. One personal achievement I am proud of is the completion of the NRCPT Phlebotomy Technician's certificate and yet, rather than sit down to do venipuncture, I chose to do what I like most--care for people. I have worked in various aspects of the healthcare system. Overseas, I worked as pharmacy technician, medical assistant and nursing assistant for eight years. Here in the United States I have taken care of different kinds of patients especially the geriatric population and those with Alzheimer's disease as a professional certified by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. I am very reliable, dependable and both a team player and team leader. I do my job with integrity and honesty. Moreover, I take the job personal in that I view the patient as if he/she was my father/grandfather, mother/grandmother, uncle/aunty.

I've been caring for elderly for about 15 years. Started with my grandma and having her tell me thank you so much and being appreciative of the small things I would do to make her smile did it for me. That's when I grew the passion to care for others. I love taking care to elderly as if they were my grandparents. I always make sure I give it that extra 110%!

I have always been passionate about making the lives of those I care for owing to my experience in clinical practice as a an LVN/LPN licensed Nurse and a volunteering work in healthcare in which I have managed the aged and elderly and built a wonderful relationship with them which has helped the outcome of daily living, much improved. Owing to this experience, its been my passion to continue on such opportunities to provide quality care for my clients to make their lives much better.

I've been in the healthcare field for almost 10yrs. My motto is to be the caregiver that I want in the future. I've worked in many nursing homes, assisted living and memory care facilities. When I worked at autumn Leaves as a CNA, I was offered the position as a Life Engagement Specialist. Within my new position, my role included conducting activities and exercises. When I started the exercise routine, I made some changes to make it more fun for everyone. Within 3months, it went from 20% participation to 60%. I've worked with all type of patients and residents and also understand that this change is not only on the client but also effects the family members as well.
