I love what I do with a passion. I love most about my job is being able to help in such a time of need I love hearing the stories they have to tell me, and just being able to be a companion an assist them with daily task and activities, that may just be a Little harder at this moment. I am a very compassionate and attentive person. I have been doing this type of work for eight years now and my mother got me into it. I truly enjoy it. I am a very reliable and patient person I feel those are really my best traits for this career.

I am 63 years old! I enjoy caregiving particularly listening to life experiences and memories of my clients. I have a cleaning company so I am excellent at keeping house and had a restaurant in my past so I am a pretty good cook. I have been caregiving for many years and enjoy working with elderly. I was a client care coordinator and worked in activities in a memory care unit so I am able to advocate services and keep my clients busy.

I like being a caregiver because it gives me a purpose, not just a paycheck. It has been my experience that most of the clients I have been around feel that they are a burden to those around them and get depressed, so comimg in and having the attitude that I get to come in and make them feel better about themselves and make a difference in their life is one of the greatest joys in my life. I'm always proud of myself when clients are happy with the job I have done for them, and ask when I'm coming back.

I have been a CNA for 22 years and I am currently a Senior at Colorado Christian University going for my BSN. I have been caring for people almost my whole life and I absolutely love it.

I have a very outgoing personality and can get along with just about anybody, im very easy going caring and compassionate. I have been doing caregiving work for 22 years on and off. I have worked for companies as well as done it on my own. I am a natural born caregiver, i have always enjoyed taking care of other people. I have worked with all ages and all types. I have experience in developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, health issues, dietary issues, stroke recovery, post surgical and elderly care to list a few. To me caregiving is very rewarding to help people live their lives to the fullest. I was a single momma of 3 and i put myself through nursing school for my RN. The only thing i have left to get my RN degree is the clinicals and i WILL accomplish it if its the last thing i do.

I am a great caregiver because I love what I do, helping people. I am very patient, as I have 5 kids and it comes easy to me. I take direction well and remember routine. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I have had a few family experiences with close members where I have stepped up and help with end of life care or cancer care. I have 2 years experience or more in caregiving, whether it be pericare, toileting, transfrering or even just house keeping. I enjoy most the relationship with my clients and helping them to do everyday things that might not be so easy for them, and improving my clients quality of life, that is my favorite part. Iam very proud of the work I do, and the appreciation people show is truly rewarding. I am most proud of the person I have become I have come a long way and live to pay it forward. I basically have been a caregiver my entire adult life, but in many different aspects. I have an AAS degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant & worked in many different areas as a PT assistant. I have spent a number of years, doing inpatient PT, outpatient PT, long term care & home health PT. I worked as a PT assistant for 17 years. I then went back to school & became a Licensed Massage Therapist & have worked in many different settings as a massage therapist. I do have about a years experience as a personal care provider, I performed duties such as medication reminders, bathing, light meal prep , housekeeping, laundry & assisting him with filling out paperwork to get further help then he was receiving. Also, transportation to Dr. Appointments. I really enjoy getting to know the client & what the clients likes & dislikes are, so I can take care of the client to the best of my ability.
