My name is Tameka I have been a caregiver for over9yrs the thing I love most about what I do is helping someone that really needs it and really dosen't have the help I love putting smiles on their face knowing that they have someone to depend on I enjoy the time that I have to spend with them .I am a wife a mother of four and I have high faith in God. I am 20 years old, and I wanted to become a caregiver because I thoroughly enjoy helping people in need. I plan to become a Registered Nurse so I can further my career in care giving. I am patient when it comes to taking care of the elderly, I am highly respectful of them and let them set the pace when there is a certain everyday living activity we are accomplishing; I do my best to encourage them and let them make decisions about their care so they can stay as independent as possible, and it is my personal goal each day to walk in with a smile on my face to ensure that my patient and their families know I am more than happy to help them in any way that I can. I am also very understanding when it comes to families worrying about certain things with their lived one(s) and do my best to assure them that I will always keep my patient's best interest at heart. I do my best to comfort families during the grieving process when their loved one(s) pass away by praying for them and telling them they will be in my prayers, and that God will be with them through the difficult time.

I am humble and compassionate person with the ability to give proper care and comfort to seniors. I am also patient, a great skill that is a must when dealing with seniors. I love seeing them happy and fulfilled by the kind of care and concern they receive from me. Naturally, I get along well with people, am hardworking and work well without supervision.

I've been in the healthcare field for 3 years , I've worked at Princeton Baptist medical center and St. Vincent's hospital as a patient care tech. I'm currently enrolled at Lawson state community college for nursing. I love caring for people it's my passion , I treat every client as if they're my family. I love what I do.

I gain the interested in becoming a caregiver when my grandmother got really sick. She was admitted into a nuring home until my mother was able to bring her home and care for her herself. I saw how over whelmed my mother use to be. Still trying to work and all, so i use to go over and offer her a help in hand. Since then. I gain patients and a passion in this field.
