Hey, I'm Shakara Boles and for over the last 2 years and 4 months I been working with resident in a nursing home. I have a bachelors in psychology. But some where along the way I just fell in love with taking care of people. I knew that I wanted to help people but did not know it was by becoming a CNA. I'm very hardworking, determined, kind hearted, loving, and caring. Also ontop of working I am a mother of a 5 year old daughter and 6 months ago added another child into my daily routine my 4 year old niece. I'm a cheer coach ontop of that but never is to busy to take care of everything that's need to be done. I really didn't know what I would be doing after graduating school but before I graduated from college; I took a CNA course to make extra money but after doing it for so long I just fell in love with it all and I just couldn't leave it. I enjoy every moment about being a caregiver because I know I'm making a big difference into someone else life especially someone family member that they care for. It's never a dual moment having this as a career but it helps motivate you and keep you up on your toes to make sure that someone that is not related to you get all the help they need. I am proud of everything I have accomplish in my life time because I'm making a future that not only for me but my child and niece as well. One thing I am proud of that I can say is that becaming a CNA was the best decision I made because it helped me to become a better person and my love has grown even more because of this. I would not change any decision I made to become one.

For 25 years I worked as a retail pharmacist and I have always loved talking to people and helping them understand their medicines. However, I have really enjoyed the satisfaction that comes from providing one on one care. I have been an in home caregiver for over a year now and I love learning from my clients. One has taught me some amazing old recipes and another loves telling me about life when she was a little girl almost 90 years ago. I love bringing a smile to my clients' faces and a sense of calm and peace to their lives.

I'm very outgoing and patient to my companion needs and listen to them My sister died at age 21 and she had cerebral palsy and epilepsy, I watched my mom take care of her as well helping my mom take care of her and it was her (Brandi)is the reason o love taking care old and young.I get great joy of helping people be happy.
