Im a CNA I love my work with senior citizens . I have extensive training in dementia and Alzheimer.

I have found that my passion/calling is to care for the elderly and/or individuals, who can't do so for themselves. My heart is overwhelmed with genuine happiness when providing care and/or maintaining a personal relationship with each resident, client, and/or patient. I sincerely love fulfilling my heart's desires & passion by providing care, love, companionship, friendship, and even medical care to individuals; resulting in them having a sense of peace, as they go through life changes and having to deal with situations that may be unfamiliar. I find that doing so & providing the utmost respectful care to each of them, brings forth a growth for even myself, as I continue my education into becoming an RN (later to bridge into Nurse Practitioner). Daily, I am seeking the latest knowledge and skill so hopefully I can improve my care traits daily, to a wider/higher demand of clients. I am most definitely proud of a personal achievement in my life pertaining to my husband (who was diagnosed with late stages of Testicular cancer twice)! After receiving a prognosis of 18 months, I decided to further my education & resources, in hopes to find more options....and I did! After nearly 2 years, he is now in remission & cancer-free! This is not to boast about what I did, but instead the 'determination, drive, & passion', that I was blessed with. I will ALWAYS go above & beyond in providing the best care for clients & their family members! I believe there is always room for growth and in order to do so, you must first humble yourself to what you were called to do, whatever that may be!

I am a very caring ,patient ,compassionate, dependable and i provide care from my heart. I've always cared for other people and loved doing it. I enjoy putting a smile on my clients face just uplifting their spirits just warms my heart. A personal achievement I'm proud of is starting my own home care service.

What makes me a great caregiver? It is passion for helping people. I first knew that I wanted to care for people when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 18 years old. I took care of my two younger brothers. Since then, I have been caring for people. My heart goes out to those who can't take care of themselves, that is why I do everything in my power to make the ones I care for feel like they exist and to have purpose in life. It makes me feel so good to know that I can make somebody feel so good about him or her self.

I love and adore the elderly. I find my self putting others before my own needs and worrying about how I can be a great influence to others. I would say that I'm selfless when it comes to helping people. I do any job with interity, knowing that I'm helping someone live and look forward to the next day. I'm a good listener and I allow people to vent, because sometimes the only thing people need is to heard without a criticism.

At the end of my day it feels good to be able to say helped someone an they was taken care of the way I would expect my family to be cared for. I treat everyone as if they are my own family. Hi I'm Terri and I'm an experience caregiver for over 15 years. My duties are making Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, give medications, and sponge baths. I also do laundry, light housekeeping, run errands and communicate with patients daily. I'm dependable, loyal and caring. My first job was taking care of my grandmother in her home. I enjoyed watching tv shows and laughing with her. I took care of her about 2 years before she passed away. This 1 job in Irondale for 4 years with Mrs. Hill it was like I was part of the family I was invited to everything with the family. I loved Mrs. Hill and she loved me and she enjoyed her life until her very last day. My accomplishment is making my patients feel special, and cared for everyday. I love taking care of the elderly helping them accomplish daily task they couldn't do without me.
