I became a caregiver because my favorite aunt's death traumatized me when I was younger and I felt it was only right to do something bigger about it. With the additional influence of other aunts having careers in the medical field, I decided to strive in the medical field myself and contribute to the better physical, mental, and emotional health of those in need. I am very compassionate, diligent, and fun. Spending quality time with clients on a daily basis and getting to know them really makes me happy because a relationship is developed that most clients don't have to begin with. I just want to make them improve, be happy and healthy.

I have been a caregiver for about 6-7 years and a CNA for about 2. A good friend of mine needed help with a lady who had Alzheimer and I had no experience at all. They say the best way to learn is through doing, and I couldn't agree more. I learned many great traits along my journey as a caregiver. I am a very patient, calm, and giving person. I enjoy helping my patients with activities of daily living and assisting them with any needs they may have like toileting, transportation, medication reminders, etc. Being a caregiver is a very rewarding job. To be able to help someone makes you feel good about yourself, and the relationships you build along the way make it all worth it in the end . I stared as a caregiver, not knowing anything, to now being a Certified Nursing Assistant, to now working on my nursing degree. I love what I do and take it very seriously. I am an honest, hard working, caring and trustworthy.

Skills & Certifications: Vision and Eye Disorders, Renal and Urological Disorders, Palliative Care, Hospice Care, Home Health Care, Depression, Dementia, Cardiovascular Disorders, Alzheimer's Disease

I am 35 year old mother of 4 and have been caregiving for 6 years. I truly believe that I've found my calling. I've always known that I wanted to be in healthcare but never knew which avenue to persue until I found myself as a caregiver for the first time. I have a love for all people and am by nature, a kind, caring and nurturing soul. My goal as a caregiver is to not only provide physical care duties but to be there as a companion to my patient and their families as well! There is something proufoundly special about being able to help one in the comfort of their own home during their time of need (however long that may be) and I feel privileged and honored to be a part of that.

Skills & Certifications: Palliative Care, Renal and Urological Disorders, Parkinson's Disease, Home Health Care, Hospice Care, Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, Diabetes, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Post Surgery Recovery

I became interested in care giving when my grand mother broke her back when I was 12. I helped take care of her for many years until her passing in 2013. I am a very kind person. I am gentle and very understanding. I am a people person. I feel like careing for the elderly is something I'm meant to do. I am proud of my last job where I cared for a lady for 5 years and upon her passing was 103 1/2. I will forever miss her. I enjoy the company of the elderly something about their old souls. I also love that I help their last year's be the best that they can be!
