I took care of my sick mother until she passed away. Later, a friend introduced me to the field of caregiving. Though I had formerly been a school teacher, caregiving fit like a glove. A client once asked me why I chose this profession, and I told her that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I offer personal care, housekeeping services, and companionship. When my client was dying, I held her hand the entire time, not knowing that the daughter had entered the room and observed my action. After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. As a former teacher, I am punctual, compassionate, empathetic, and sentimental; I laugh and cry with my clients. My current job involves caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. I have recently been providing a client with personal hygiene in the morning through CareLinx.

Because of my past job experiences as a Caregiver and a Senior Care Provider, which I combined with my course work, I am very confident that I can provide excellent services to all clients. I have enhanced my ability to providing compassionate and dedicated care to others and have worked diligently to provide excellence in all my professional endeavors and, have earned a reputation for my results driven work ethic; I have also received frequent commendations from patients and their families for providing exceptional care and have received employee awards for dedication and performance as a caregiver, because caring for others has always been my passion since childhood.

Hello, I have been a caregiver for 15 years. What made me decide to help and take care of people, when I seen my grandmother at 15 years old dying from colon cancer in a nursing home. Why I feel I am a good caregiver is because I treat people the way I would want to be treated, with respect, honesty, and reliability. I cared for my mom 4 1/2 years ago on hospice care in my own home, she died in 2012 from endometriosis cancer. I know I did the best I could, and I am glad I was there for her like she was for me.

I am very passionate about what I do. I also like helping others and always have that feeling of compassion when it comes to my patients. I would say my greatest achievement was when I finished my class for nurse support tech last year. I am very happy I'm furthering my education in healthcare. I hope to earn more medical credentials soon.

I am a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant who has been doing nursing for 10 years now.I became a Caregiver because I took care of my grandfather who suffered from Cancer. Seeing him suffer motivated me to want to care for others and help them as much as I can. What I love about being a Caregiver is being able to help people with disabilities maintain their independence. I also love encouraging them, while making them feel as comfortable as possible and keeping a smile on their face. a personal achievement that I am proud of is being able to go back to school and further my career in Healthcare.

Being a care give have gave me the pleasure and understanding and helping the elderly with their needs and providing assistance and contributes to their environment that is respectful for Patient and Family. I become a caregiver because I enjoy working with the elderly and meeting with the family member to let them know that their love one is being taking care of in a professional manor. I appreciate the little moments with your love one by spending time with them talking and laughing and show them that your always there for them.

I am a loving and caring person and I love helping others. I love my job and what it allows me to do for others. I have been on the receiving end of having a loved one get very sick and bounce back and forth from nursing home to hospital so I know all too well not just the physical but the emotional strain that situations like these can have for people and family's. This is why I try my best to help the best I can in any situation. I choose to get into this line of work because unfortunately I had to see first hand with a loved one that not everyone is properly taken care of or even cared about in these situations and that is just awful and unfair. When my loved one passed away I vowed to make a difference, even if its just one person or a small few its better then none or just doing nothing.
