Hello, My name is KeAndra Miller. I have been a CNA for the 15 years. Caregiving isn't just a job for me, it is a joy to get to know my clients and to bring them as much joy and happiness to their lives I can. I really enjoy working with people, I am very patient and fast learning with little guidance. I love to go on outings, decorate and craft and would love to incorporate some of these things into my time with my clients.

I worked with the Visiting Angels Caregiver & Home health group out of Knoxville, Tn for about 2 years as a caregiver. I also helped to care for my mother, father, a sister, a brother, an aunt, an uncle, my husband, and my son. I am retired, but I still enjoy working part time as a caregiver. I can help care for your loved ones, when you need to be engaged elsewhere. Or when you just need an occasional break.... And we all need that occasional break sometimes.

I have held many positions in the health field. My reasons for remaining in health care are many but the most prominent is the self gratification of helping others.

My current job does not say much about who I am as a person or a caregiver. Before starting in factory work I worked in a nursing home for 4 years. After the nursing home I worked in assisted living for a year. I gave my heart to those jobs. I loved ever minute of being with the elderly. I started by waking them up and taking them to the toilet. Then I would help them get dressed or dress the ones who were unable. I would then assist with normal morning hygiene care. I would take them to dine with others in the dinning hall and then I would feed the ones who could not go. I would do daily excersizes with the residents and give baths when it came time. After breakfast some would take naps, watch tv or do other things. After my rounds of helping to use the bathroom I would visit with some that I didn't get to spend so much time with because of our morning rush to eat. So many of those people whom I took care of couldn't remember some of their own family, but they knew when they seen me coming everyday and they were so happy at times. At the end of the day helping others comes naturally. My gratitude I get from being a caregiver is just making someone smile. If I can make them smile then I must be doing something well.

Hello my name is Priscilla. I have many years experience working in various disciplines, with a strong concentration on senior and physiological. Helping people is my passion. Working with my grandmother for a number of years has been some of my proudest moments. I was very fortunate to be able to care for her until the very end. That is one of the many reasons I chose nursing.

I have been in the nursing field since I was 16 in one form or another. I always knew I wanted to be a nurse because I always enjoyed helping people and I love to talk, I never meet a stranger no matter where I go , I went to RN school in Indiana and worked on the medical surgical floor and worked in surgery for a few years. I was pretty blessed and was able to stay home with my children as they grew up, so I took time off from my career was a stay at home mother but always knew I would get involved in nursing again .As my children grew up I got involved in homecare which I love, I have met such wonderful families and clients along my journey and wouldn't trade my experience for anything.

I started working in the health care field always knowing that I wanted to work with geriatric patients and wanting to care for people! I enjoy the one on one with each person I care for and love being the person who helps make someone's day easier and happier!

I have lived in the Knoxville area since 1994. I started out as a K-8 teacher, teaching mainly the little guys. (Kindergarten and 1st grade) After the birth of each of my children I stayed home with them. In 2012 I decided to try something new, making the decision to become the Healthy Lifestyles Director for an Assisted Living. The residents lit up my life. As my grandmother became ill with Alzheimers I wanted to give her the love, compassion, and patience that she had given me my entire life. It was truly special and precious to be there for her. Having her at home was a blessing. However, it was apparent that help was needed at times, as daily tasks needed to be maintained for the rest of the family too. Finding the right agency or person to trust to come into our home was a difficult decision to make, after all this is your family member and home!! After her passing, I decided to become a nurse so I could help others who had a loved one at home in need of assistance. I am currently certified as a CNA, BLS certified, and have started my junior term classes in nursing school. My personality is lighthearted, upbeat, and patient.
