I really enjoy being a caregiver, I currently work with developmental and disability behavioral patients. What I enjoy most about what I do is that I learn a lot from my patients everyday . Even though I'm working to help them achieve their daily living needs, health and activities. They teach me to be a better person, develop patience, knowledge and a sense of purpose. Knowing that I can help make a difference in someone's life is very rewarding . I'm a strong believer, that it takes a village and you can learn a lot from anyone.

I have worked in mental Health over 15 years. I have a BS in Community Mental Health and two years ago I semi retired. I like helping others, and I have a great compassion to care for the elderly. I love what I do and it shows in the quality of care I provide. I was 17 years old when I help took care of my aunt who was very ill and when she passed away I knew then I want to take care of others. What I love most of all is helping them to complete their day with what task they have, and making sure they are comfortable and secured. I had a client that had hip surgery and needed physical therapy and I helped them by encouraging and motivating them to keep trying when they may have wanted to give up. The person was able to get back to their normal self after much consistency and determination. That's what made me proud because we did it together.

Nothing more rewarding emotionally than seeing a smile on the client's and the families face! I've been a caregiver for over 20yrs and it started with my Mom as a CNA when I was a child and she got me into a Red Cross program that allowed me to help with the Elderly in the nursing home she worked in. I began to work as a caregiver at age 19yrs old until now age 41yrs old.

I have taken care off elderly people for 30years I started as a cna after a few years I started doing private care iam loving, caring honest I give %100 off my self to my patient's I keep the family informed off any changes iam also a wonderful cook I can cook anything and I can do it in a healthy way I talk to my patient's and I do spoil them because they deserve it I believe God has chosen that kind off work for me and I love what I do.
