I am a very caring person. I took care of my mom that had dementia for over 4 years. I also took take of another lady that had dementia, but than my husband got cancer and I had to quit. I love to be able to care for senior citizens. My mom attracted me to be a caregiver, it was my love for her. The reason why I am applying is simply because since my husband can't walk, he is paralyze from the waist down. I am already taking care of him 24/7. I have a sense of humor that can make everyone laugh. Getting my Bachelor's of Business Administration. It took me 19 long years, but I finally did it.

I've learned how important it is to be emotionally present, to listen, and to stay calm even in difficult situations. I've also become very good at organizing medications, keeping routines, and adjusting to changing needs--all skills that help me provide reliable care. * What attracted you to being a caregiver? Caring for my dad showed me how meaningful it can be to support someone you love through challenges. What started as something I did out of love became something I truly valued. It made me realize how important caregivers are and how powerful it is to help someone maintain dignity, comfort, and independence. * What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? What I enjoy most is the connection and trust that forms. Being there for my dad gave me a deeper understanding of his needs, both physically and emotionally. It's rewarding to know that I can make a difference in his day, even through small things like a shared conversation or just being present when he needs support. * What is a personal achievement you are proud of? I'm proud of how I was able to help my dad stay at home and feel safe and cared for. There were tough times--physically and emotionally--but I stayed committed, learned as I went, and became stronger because of it. I'm proud of the patience I developed, and of how much I grew as a person during that time.

About me, I grow up taking care of my mom with cancer since I was 14 years old. What attracted to be a caregiver is that I want my patients to feel that there in good hand, I want them to see me as a family meme we not only as a caregiver. What do I enjoy being a caregiver that's easy, there stories and for them to have someone to talk to. My name is Crystal, I studied Physical Therapy in Mexico. I have worked with a variety of Patients in different areas, neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, stroke recovery, geriatrics, etc. I have 3 years of experience working in these areas. I am compassionate for my job. I empathize with my patients. Nothing makes me more happier then seeing them recover and overcome. Many geriatric patients just need some company, someone to speak with, someone to give them attention, someone to see over them, and I'm that person. I am a true and honest person who just want the best for the patient. I won't just only be the employee but also a friend who you can count on.

The medical field is what led me to become a care giver. At first I really thought I was not going to like it. However, every day when I showed up at work I put a smile on my face and gave it my very best. My job in the emergency room was filled with traumatic experiences, blood, and death. But what made it worth it, was all that surrounded those horrible experiences. Being able to help someone live another day made me smile inside. And before I knew it, I found myself loving my job. When someone's life depends on you, you forget about the outside world and to me all that matters in that moment is my patient.
