\"My passion for caretaking came when my grand dad was left under my care and I took care of him until he passed away. Since then, I have been taking care of loved ones until they've sadly departed. All of my experience has been hands-on and I can assist in all aspects of home care from companionship to bathing/dressing, to meal preparation. I can also assist in managing doctor visits and ensuring that doctors stay coordinated. I am a certified CNA / LPN With the Maryland Board of Nursing and also certified in First Aid, CPR and AEDs for adults and children. My hobbies are reading and spending time with family, time permitting. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is it helps me greatly and gives me the courage to take care of my son who is autistic. I'm a good listener, I have patience, respect,empathy, and I will respect their privacy. What made me want to become a caregiver so I can make a great difference in someone's life. The smile on a client face when I'm helping makes me happy. A personal achievement I have is i have good reccomendations from past clients and my former care facility where I worked for nearly 20 years.

I'm a patient and compassionate person, I love to be around elderly. They are very smart and full of wisdom. I feel like I'm the lucky one to be with them and help them through this step of life. Even when they rejected me, I never took it personal and tried to understand them. I have been taking care of my mother in law for 6 years and I'm happy and proud to say that caregiving is a big personal accomplishment, and I'm proud of my resourcefulness, flexibility and determination.

I love treating others well as a Caregiver because I always have it in mind that with life one should expect a lot of changes, challenges and experiences and these may be getting sick, accidents or growing old because it is the order of the day. So, I always imagine myself into that person's situation Iam caring for. The question that pops up in my head is what if that's me, my parents or my lovely daughter. This prompts me to treat others the same way I would wish to be treated or cared for in case I was in that position. My greatest achievement is putting a smile on someone i have given care for. I am a hardworking mom of 4 and I always treat people the way I want to be treated. I am always on time with my job and always making sure that I provide good services and all time.
