I have great expertise I am certified in CPR as well as First Aid and genuinely have great Communication skills. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my respect for the elderly they have lived through some amazing life experiences and lessons and I believe it's highly important that they receive the care and respect we would want our grandparents and or parents to be treated with. My name is Destini, I have been a home health aide/attendant for 5 years. I'm certified by new york department of health. I've been working with patients since I was 15. I went to a medical high school ; Clara Barton and through there I started to volunteer and work at nursing homes and private cases because I love helping people. I believe my best qualities as a home health aide are, I treat my patients and their families the same way that I would want another caregiver to treat my family if they needed assistance. I am compassionate and I empathize with the people I assist. I have kind heart and I'm efficient in the tasks I have to do with my patient. I have a lot of energy and pay close attention to my patient. I do grocery shopping can cook meals and make a meal plan specifically for their nutritional needs based on their health. A little about me: I was born and raised here in New York however I moved away to Texas in 2016-2019 where I worked at a long term dementia facility. I grew up wanting to help people, I started private duty back 5 years ago and realized this was Gods purpose for me. I absolutely love what I do. I not only take care of your loved one but they also become family to me. We do fun activities, gossip and binge movies lol. I have amazing references to make you feel at ease. I have always been told I am so good with people and my clients really take to me, that is simply because I interact with them. Many caregivers just supervise with no interaction while they read a book or are in their phone, NOT ME! I ask my clients what they want to do today and create fun activities, I make delicious meals and I make your loved one feel special with foot massages or just good company.
