I used to work in a unit of dementia and alzheimers so I do have experience working with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients. I have a lot of patience when I comes anything. I do love to cook healthy meals. I can also do light house keeping if you would need me to. I do have my own transportation so im available to also do few food shopping and take to doctors appointments. I'm also pet friendly is the client has a pet. The reason why I should get hired is because first i know how its like to look for care for a loved one and worry if they will do a good job. I am a nurturer by nature. I get a sense of fulfillment when caring for others. One trait that sets me aside would be my ability to meet each individual client where they are in their current state, remembering no two are the same. After working inpatient transportation within a hospital for years, I saw there was a greater need for me at the bedside. I like the day or night shift, and I am available for work overnights for 8-12 hour shifts either in a home or in a facility. Also available days but I do not burn the candle at both ends. The age of my clientele has ranged from 3 to 104. Wherever you are I can go to get to you. If you are in a facility and you want me there I can be there. I am a huge advocate for my clients and I have a zero tolerance policy for maltreatment or neglect. I also will not allow anyone to exploit or abuse a client without reporting it to the proper authorities. I have advanced training in Alzheimer's and dimentia as well as Occupational Therapy degree holder as of December 2019 I am currently taking on new clients.

Hello my name's Brittany.im withtwo beautiful girl the ages of 4 and 10. They are my world..ive been in health carre since 2007 ive work inside building ive work in homes ive done hospice.. The biggest thing i have learned out of worrking with elderly they allways have something teach you so always listen aand pay attention.

My first job as a caregiver was way back in 1985, my senior year of high school. I worked in a nursing home and fell in love with caring for those in their golden year. They have so much to teach us. I went on to get my Masters in Social Work and was a hospice social worker for 15 years. I took every opportunity to provide direct care- there's just nothing like it. :) I opened a hospice house where I recruited, trained and mentored CNA's. I had the best of both worlds because I was a certified medication technician and was able to enjoy a lot of 1:1 time with our residents. After several years, I became a director of hospice and have been in management for the past 7 years. Honestly, I'm tired of quotas, the pressure to meet benchmarks, etc and want to return to simpler times when I was able to love on someone, pampering them and doing my best to ensure they are as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I'm excited to get back to my roots and hope you'll give me the chance to prove how much I adore older adults and love to spoil them.
