I'm a jolly joyful individual. Determined honest and my smile can light up a room. I was attracted to being a caregiver by helping my great aunt at young age. I then knew it was my passion to help others in the same predicament. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I provide my best services to someone's aunt uncle mom brother sister or grandma makes me feel amazing knowing I did my best helps me to sleep at night . A personal achievement I am proud of is finally deciding to put myself first and take on my major goals of life.

I have always had great compassion for those who are sick, the elderly, and disabled. I began my caregiving by volunteering for Hospice for seven years. CNAs happily taught me how to do bed baths, empty urinals, and even how to change bed linens with patient still in bed. I am comfortable, and have experience in just about all facets of caregiving, which includes personal hygiene, including bathing, feeding, safely transferring patient from bed to chair, etc. I am comfortable using a Hoyer lift, and have changed and sanitized urine bags. Upon moving to a new city I began doing home caregiving as a way of paying my bills, and family recommendations kept me busy. I have enjoyed caring for the ELDERY with all kinds of medical problems, and DISABLED people, as well. In addition to passing the background check required for this site, I have a LEVEL II BACKGROUND CHECK which is far deeper than this site requires. I have taken and passed the HHA test, although I did not take the class. I am CPR certified, have had a two step TB test, I presently work for a local caregiving agency, but they are unable to provide me with enough hours, so I am eager to get full time hours! I have many references I can give if you are interested in knowing more. I prefer days, but I am open for any schedule.

I cared for my mother in home during the last six of her 94 years. She suffered with dementia, diabetes (insulin dependent), arthritis, incontinence and mobility issues. She wanted to spend her last days in her own home for which I am very thankful I was able to be instrumental in granting her wish. I have spent 30+ years, off and on, in the health care industry in positions of nurse aide and home health care aide. I have hospice experience. I value life and respect end of life wishes. I hope that as I age that I will have someone who will show me the same respect, care, empathy and loving commitment to my care as I provide to my patients.

I was a critical care nurse for 12 years in Orlando Florida, I am retired . I took care of my father with cancer for 6 years and my mother who had cancer a stroke blind in one eye for years. I also help the Amish in Ohio with elderly care medical instruction and medications. I enjoy working with elderly people and being an individual with mild fibromyalgia myself I understand and can relate to a person experiencing pain and disability. My mother was a nurse and worked until her 70,s. I worked in the funeral industry 6 years after retiring from nursing. I attend church pre-Covid on sundays and enjoy my grown grandchildren here in Greenville. I prefer to work afternoons and evenings or weekends.
