I became a caregiver because I have a passion for taking care of people. I helped my mother take care of my brother and sister and it became a part of who I am as a person. My personality traits to help be a great caregiver is, Patience, People who need care often take longer to complete simple tasks. They may ask the same questions over and over. Good caregivers need patience to deal with anything from a loved one's memory lapses to angry outbursts. They practice staying calm and avoiding frustration. Compassion, Empathy and understanding are absolutely necessary. Even when caring for an abusive person, caregivers try to remain empathetic and understanding. Being Present, Good caregivers know the importance of respecting their loved one's current abilities. Rather than focusing on what their loved one can no longer do, a good caregiver tries be in the moment with them -- looking at photos, listening to music, cooking a favorite meal, remembering that they weren't always sick. Willing to assist, Always being able to be able to willing to help and assist the patient with anything they need! What attracted me to be a caregiver is, my grandmother and also, I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I love older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that being a caregiver provides a sense of pride and joy that most people don't experience in their day jobs. Everyone has the desire to feel that they're needed, and caregiving gives that feeling. At the end of the day, caregivers can look back and know they made a difference in people's lives. A personal achievement that im extremely proud of is that i graduated CNA class and get to further my experiences to live for elderly.

I am patient and spiritual with my clients and I provide genuine support and help them whenever I can. I'm also understanding and sincere to their needs .My ultimate goal is to make sure my client is comfortable.

I've been a in home care provider For approximately 2 years with the special needs community in Bartlett Tn. *The smile that your service recipient gives you when you have helped them accomplish something they've longed to want to do. *Knowing that with everything that is going on throughtout the world , that I'm actually doing positive, selfless, unconditional acts to help assist with putting a smile on someone elses face. *After doing well at mutiple homes that have clients from the agency I work for , I've been able to become a floater which means I have gotten the attention of other home managers and clients , that asks for me to be trained on working with their service recipients ! What makes me a caring, patient, loving caregiver is not only caring for my mother, but becoming one myself. Having a toddler has made me into the most tolerant and exuberant person. I am interested in being a caregiver for many reasons. Not everyone gets the choice to take care of their loved ones, I did. So that genuinely has inspired me to be there for your loved ones when you cant be. I take great pleasure in helping others. Since becoming a mother I find myself helping anyone I can. Whether it be returning a cart for an elderly couple or changing a tire for someone in a cast on 385. A personal achievement I am so proud of is the ability to pass on the art that is southern cooking that my Mother and Grandmother and Great grandmother taught me. Food brings people happiness. Brings back good memories. Being able to make something for someone that their mama used to make them as children is amazing. The light in their eyes is worth any and all work it took to prepare.

As a trained Stephen Minister and cancer survivor, I can relate to most concerns. I have transferred my skills many times as I followed my husband's career path. I am dependable, empathetic, yet determined when clients need me to encourage them. I am willing to do light housework and prepare meals.

I have been a caregiver since I was a teenager. My mom taught me to help others. This is my passion. I have three beautiful children of my own who I love dearly. My daughter is a heart patient and I care for her when she needs me. My oldest son has ADD and ADHD. He requires around the clock care outside of school. My youngest son has a bone disease. I usually care for all of my children after school. I love to care for others. I'm a sweet, caring, loving, and outgoing person who will take care of others like they are my family. I can do any job around the house. I enjoy talking to others about their life and love hearing stories they have to tell. I love to make others smile and let them enjoy life. Seeing others smile, that brings so much joy to me. My personal achievement would be going back to school. I went back to school for computers. I love working on computers and caring for others. My life has spiral downhill because I don't have that support from family and friends. I just want to show others that there are people who genuinely care and want to be there for them.
