I have been a CNA for 30 +years. Ten or more of those years as a Caregiver, also. I have experience in long-term and short-term care. I have training in home health, hospice, palliative care, private sitter, and companion care. I work as a attendant now with At Home Healthcare, United Healthcare and a Diamond Professional Caregiver with CareLinx. I've taken the academy classes with CareLinx so I could refresh my skills. I have passed my background screening and I am CPR certified, too. I enjoy working with seniors because some of them have lived some adventurous lives. My greatest achievement is making a difference in their lives and they tell you so. When your day is over you know you have done your best. You can look up and smile.

I began caring for my own Mom when I was 9 years old. She had many health issues and I enjoyed providing care for her so much so that I knew then that being a caregiver is what I wanted to do in my adult life. I became a care giver when my mother became I'll 10/12 yrs ago. Finally went to school to be certified and work in a hospital. I love helping patients, making sure they have everything they need and or being taking care of. I love knowing that I have done my upmost best to care and befriend my patients

I'm a very compassionate person who believes our patients should be treated like we would want our family members taken care of. I came into this field because I love to help people. I was born to be a caregiver! Over the years I have always been very atune to medical needs as well as the ability to calm a screaming baby that even the mother is unable to calm. I helped care for my grandparents and my mother who passed away this year. I also cared for my daughter whom is a walking miracle! At the age of 11 she dislocated her thumb for the first time...a year and 8 hand surgeries...including both thumbs eventually fused...she was diagnosed 2 days before Thanksgiving of 2009 with leukemia. She is now 7 years chemo free but still has a few residual effects from 3 years of chemo. Some say that I have "divine healing hands" and I love healing people IF they will let me! I have always loved medice and would love to be a doula one day. I enjoy visiting with people. Some say that I can talk too much but I really dont mean to. I am next to the oldest of 6 kids and have 3 of my own. I also have 2 grandkids and one that will arrive in December. I would love the opportunity to be there to help a family with their loved one and give them a little peace of mind and take a little stress out of your life. I personally know how stressful being the "family caregiver" can be.
