I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. My passion for health care comes from years of experience as a mother, wife and caregiver to family and friends.

Growing up and having the opportunity to care for my grandparents opened my eyes to what every aging and sick loved one go through.Being a health caregiver for the six years now has given me a lot of experience to do what I have passion for. The smile on my patient or clients 's face each day is my driving motivation. A few months ago I worked into my client's house and perceived a strong smell of gas which apparently she did not smell, quickly took her out of the house and call the gas company and emergency technicians. A broken gas pipe was identified and the whole block of houses were deemed high risk for explosion. Residents were evacuated for four days. I not only saved my client's life but that of all her neighbors. I am a very professional, hardworking, and compassionate person.

I've been with the Home Health Care Industry for almost 15 years now. I'm a CNA. Compassionate with experience serving chronically ill patients including assisting with activities of daily living and household task. Very patient, organized and highly energetic. I became a caregiver 9 yrs, ago. it all began when my aunt was admitted in to a nursing home facility. my grandmother would go visit her on a daily and every day after school I would go with her and every day my aunt would be in the same situation. soiled, left in bed for hours. with bed sores all over her from not being reposition. So from tht day forward I had vow that I would become a nurse or a caregiver. I vowed that I would do my best to make sure tht every patient that I came in contact with will have the best care tht I could provide. it brings me joy that I can help them physical or emotionally. I look at each and everyone of them as my own family. I believe with tht brings out the best in all of us to want to do our best. my best achievement is not of any awards but the reward of being there to my best for my patients to put a smile on there face and for them to feel of importance and to let them knw their voices matters.

I always wanted to be a nurse I became an LPN. I enjoy helping and caring for clients; especially the elderly and youth. We learn so much from them if we listen. My personal achievements are the love and blessings I recieved by just performing this work.
