Hi, I'm Ronald Porter, I'm 26 yrs old, I've worked as a direct care staff/caregiver for about 4/5 years, I'm also CPR/AED Certified. I love being a caregiver, I love getting to know and hearing the stories of everyone that I take care of. I also enjoy making their day, I really believe that this is my calling. I am enthusiastic and enjoy working with the elderly. I am a loyal and faithful companion. I was first attracted to caring for the elderly through my grandmother who simply needed someone to understand. I have taken care of my grandmother my mother and many elderly since then. What I enjoy most about caring for the elderly his to give them a reason to smile, laugh and be happy in their own environment and being their own selves. Some of my personal achievements that I am extremely proud of was a dementia patient who no longer enjoyed painting and with my enthusiastic caring she started painting again. Another elderly lady with Alzheimer's who had forgotten that she loved the outdoors and to walk for exercise. We started sitting on her front porch enjoying the birds and butterfly's and walking down the road for exercise. She even challenged me to a race, LOL. Then another was afraid to take the escalator, she was afraid she would fall. With no other way out, I helped her walk right onto it with no trouble. There was a gentleman that had not fed himself in many years, with my encouragement he was eating by himself again with no assistance. These are just a few of the accomplishments with the elderly that I am thankful that I was able to Help with and Witness.

I am very hardworking and dependable and love to develop a loving and caring relationship with my clients. What attracted me to become a caregiver is because there are some people that do not have family and they often become sad and give up on life. Hi. My name is Teresa D. Johnson. I am an EHS, which is an Early HeadStart Teacher. I have worked at a Private Daycare for the last past years teaching students. Although, now this is my second year teaching students at HeadStart School and yes I love it. However , my most loveable experiences skills are working as a Caregiver, Sitter, Private Sitter, Private Duty, and CNA. I have worked over 30 years in Caregiver field. Some have been through Agencies, Homes, in Hospitals as Private Sitters, Sitters, and etc. My mother at the time was my very first patient. I loved it and desired my heart to continue to for-fill my passionate towards others and that's what attracted me to becoming a Caregiver. It blessed me knowing that I could provide the needs to others as I did for my mother ; after her deceased. My heart desires were to treat others in the field of caregivering like my mother's love, which was a personal achievements for me. Finally, I loved most about being a Caregiver is this, if you don't love what you are call to do in this lifetime and you can't show love as the word of God says to do. Truly, that field of work is definitely not for you. As for my personality traits there is a list : you must have compassion and be compassionate , Caring, Loving, Honesty ,Presistence, Commitment, Faithful, and mostly have a Caregiver Heart.
