My name is Jovita Torres, I am a Nationally Registered Certified Surgical Technician and Nationally Registered Medical Assistant and I've been working in the medical field for more than 9 years. At such a young age I have passion for helping people. I'm in love with my profession, it has taught me many things in life. I am a responsible, compassionate, understanding and a hardworking individual, with broad skills and experience in different areas in the medical field.
I'm friendly and outgoing. I love connecting people to the best resources available. I was an assistant in nursing homes and assisted living facilities through High School and college but went into broadcasting. When I left my career I took a cross-country road trip that ended in a 2-month stay with my elderly, disabled aunt. It reignited the love for caretaking. I enjoy getting to know the clients, hearing their history and about their life and families. I love helping people remain active and aware as long as possible. You'll find I am most proud of my kids and my grandkids. Family feeds my soul.
The traits I bring to work were mastered at a young age, by 14 I started taking advanced medical basic classes in high school, following clinical internships at Seton Hays Hospital. I love to provide care, and be the best at it, I enjoy giving the respect of life with a helping hand. I was invited to the national youth leadership forum of medicine my sophomore year in high school. I became a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant at the age of 18, and will start nursing school in March. I have an advanced grasp of pharmacology compared to other "caregivers" and will love to touch base on anything
