I am a 37year old CNA and mother of three,I became a caregiver because I love helping others and caring for those who can't perform or need assistance with their daily activities. When I was a young girl my mother was diagnosed with MS and my siblings and I were responsible for helping her with her daily activities and from that moment forward I knew that was my calling. In the past I have taken care of several loved ones and others until they're last moment here and thats what I feel like I am here to do, its my passion. I love being able to make a difference in someone else's life and make them happy.

Ive alway been a caregiver at heart but when my mom suffered with dementia she was very difficult and just thought everyone deserves the same heart filled care as i gave her I was als blessed to be with one couple 8 years he had mobilit issues and she had dementia I wa with them till the end he passed 3 years ago and she passed 3weeks ago I bathed them shoped for them made all appointment and took them to the dr. I am married with a 14yr old son and im the oldest of 7 so im pretty much use to being the person others depend on and leaning on me for support. I started out in the health field in 2008 working with the disabled people.. From the ages of 5 and up. I worked with people With autism I work with people with behavior issues, CP cervical, to people with diabetes cancer Strokes Alzheimer dementia I work with people with catheters G tubes pretty much all the above I love what I do I started out as just a support provider and now I'm a Certified nursing assistant, now currently state certified Patient Care Tech, I am currently in school for Radiology Tech. I definitely love my health career and plan on staying in this field for a while

Hi! My name is Shenya I am currently a junior Nursing major at Georgia State University. My attraction to caregiving started with my grandmother who was ill most of my life. I helped my family out a lot when it came to her health. I helped her bathe, cook, made sure she took the proper medication for the day and also refill her medicine. I cared for her from 2012-2015. Even though my experience is limited I do have the knowledge from learning over the past few years.
