Everyone needs help from time to time. I like being that for someone, and hopefully making their day nicer, too. It's the little things that make a bad day better. I am not certified, but I have had multiple jobs as a caretaker, skills coach, and mental health aide. I have experience in most skills requested, and am very comfortable performing all care needs. I am open to expanding my skills, and will put in the extra effort and research needed. Ive had training in most everything listed, including lifting, mobility, CPR, and first aid. Being a great caregiver means going above and beyond for my patients. I have experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, diabetes etc. I'm also cpr certified.

A few things about me and my role as a caregiver are that I'm friendly, kind, compassionate, understanding, and hard working. For 10 years, I have worked as a caregiver under two professional services, ROI in Michigan and Help-at- Home in Northwest Indiana. The services that I've performed include transportation, personal assistance, physician advocate, medication disbursement, life-skills assistance to people, of all ages, with a variety of physical and mental abilities. Credentials include behavioral, CPR, and First Aid training. I am passionate about caring for those in need giving a helping hand. Knowing I could make a difference in their life and seeing a smile on their face brings joy and purpose to my life! What inspired me to get into caregiving was my Grandma. In the beginning, she just needed help with little things. Then, as time passed she needed all around care. It felt good to help her. I saw a need that I knew I could fulfill, not only for her, but others too. A personal achievement that I am most proud of was becoming an APC (Assistant Program Coordinator). I had applied 2 other times and didnt get the job. I had to build more skills and fight harder for it and the people I loved to help. I am thankful for the experience it has helped me to be a better caregiver.

Caregiving has always been a passion, starting with my own parents as they were aging. Realizing that I was good at it because people appreciated my care, I started my own business which was very successful until it became too busy for me to carry on with my growing family. I love getting to know people and their histories. I am quite good at problem solving. I have been caregiving on a private basis for over 30 years.

Since I was a child, I've loved helping other people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and circumstances. What excites me most about this position is the opportunity to help those with disabilities live happier, healthier lives. I think helping other people affects the local community positively, so I'd feel honored to accept such a vital role."

I am a fun outgoing gal who loves to provide help to others who may not be able to do so for themselves. My goal is to make a difference in the health care world I do this for the paycheck tho it is a bonus I do this because i genuinely love to give care. I am from TN. I got my CNA license in 2009. I worked with the same client from 2009-2016 In August 2016 I moved to MI. I started nursing school at Lansing community college. I work in clients homes now. I love my job and love helping others!

What makes me a great caregiver is that I actually care about my patients and respect their wishes in there wishes in their everyday routine. I wanted led to become become a caregiver because cause I've always felt the need to help other people. I like meeting meeting new people and being able to brighten other people's days.
